Does anyone know where Anton Kisiel's products are? They arent on BBAY any more and I cant find them.

wyrwulf ( ) posted Mon, 03 September 2001 at 1:41 PM

Anton discontinued a lot of his products. What he still has for sale are at DAZ3D.com

He has a new site at this link. Hopefully it'll up soon.

Mesh_Magick ( ) posted Mon, 03 September 2001 at 2:13 PM

Well, If you ask me He's a little snoot, He can't take criticism without getting bent out of shape and quits over what one or a few people say about his freestuff quality for sale products. HOwever he does do hair well.

Huolong ( ) posted Mon, 03 September 2001 at 4:45 PM

Anton makes damn good stuff ... and I, for one, hope he stays with us.

mabfairyqueen ( ) posted Mon, 03 September 2001 at 4:59 PM

I like his stuff too. I posted a hair idea, in the wishlist here at renderosity way back when. I wanted a changeable pony tails and pieces parts set, back when I didn't know how to make stuff myself, and he made exactly what I wished for. What a swell guy.

Chailynne ( ) posted Mon, 03 September 2001 at 5:34 PM

Mesh, that was uncalled for. Anton makes wonderful products, and he can sell them or not sell them wherever he likes. I don't understand why people are always bashing some of the best artists we have. We are losing some of these people and that isn't a good thing. Would you prefer they just left Renderosity? I'd prefer we lose all of the bashers instead, those that are always trying to stir up something... <--- sick of all the trouble Mesh and his alts have caused over the last 2 years.

PJF ( ) posted Mon, 03 September 2001 at 6:12 PM

Hi Red_Baron, I believe Anton now calls himself PheonixRising on these forums. You could 'instant message' him with your enquiry - though he keeps a fairly low profile here so I don't know how soon he would see the message to respond.

Cin- ( ) posted Mon, 03 September 2001 at 7:52 PM

I have several of Anton's products, and couldn't be more pleased with them. As far as his stuff from Bbay, he said before that he's reworking a lot of his older stuff and decided to take them down, so that when the newer versions are ready no one will feel like they've been cheated, if they just got the older version. If you're looking for something specific you could email him and ask to buy it directly.

fauve ( ) posted Mon, 03 September 2001 at 8:33 PM

I remember way back when, Anton made the most wonderful peacock figure and put it in the Free Stuff (Funstuff then) section. I was so delighted with that peacock... I used it in about twenty pictures and made a down-tail morph for it. I told Anton that if he ever started charging for his stuff, I'd gladly pay, because he puts so much work and talent into what he does. Anton gave and still gives an awful lot to this community for no charge at all. When he put stuff up for sale in the store, I went shopping. And I haven't ever been disappointed in anything I've bought from him. -nemo

jamball77 ( ) posted Mon, 03 September 2001 at 10:06 PM

I for one don't mind paying a little because a lot of artists begin to think it's worth their time to contribute. Free is very very appreciated. But our prices are on the low side compared to other communities. I can tell you, I can't even think about paying the prices some want for simple .3ds files.

I know I do not usually comment much .. and I do not know any of the folks here that well.. but I do have to say that I have several of Anton's products and they are outstanding ... easy to use in the extreme and amazingly detailed , his fantasy armor outfits are just the best not to mention his furniture .. in fact when I won a contest that had some of his items among the choices given, I grabbed every one of them I could get and counted myself lucky..

Jen ( ) posted Tue, 04 September 2001 at 12:14 AM

I agree with Laurie. I have not been one bit disappointed in any products of Antons I have. They are all very high quality. I dont understand why people continue to have to bash others. I highly recommend his products!

Dmentia ( ) posted Tue, 04 September 2001 at 12:49 AM

Red Baron, Anton is still around, and he does check the forumns fairlly regularlly...his older bbay products have been discontinued for the reasons listed above...He's good about answering his email also if you need to contact him about specific questions or items...you can find his email link at Daz3D in the brokered section for sure! Mesh Magic, Didnt I already suggest that you try being nice every once in a while rather than always griping?...jeeze...And then you probablly sit and wonder why people gang up on you...You tell yourself its a clique, but it isnt, its just people sick of hearing all the griping...Do yourself a favor, earn some friends by being nice on occasion rather than always griping, you'll be a much happier person...Perhaps I'm wrong, maybe you're one of those people who actually enjoys having people gang up on them, because then they can fool themselves into beleiving the world is evil, and they are the only good thing left in it...wierd way of looking at things if you ask me! course you didnt ask me did you ;)...Guess you can chalk me up as being a snooty individual as well! Everyone else, Anton does do great work!...I have all of his products, and adore each and every one of them...and he just keeps getting better and better!...Occasionally I get to thinking I may be biased since I think he's such a great guy, but then I see alot of other folks talking about what wonderful work he does, so I know I'm not biased just lucky!

hauksdottir ( ) posted Tue, 04 September 2001 at 3:24 AM

Mesh, Anton isn't only a damned fine modeler, he is innovative. His concept of a single dial for changing furniture, hair, what-have-you, is a step above what most other folks have contributed. It is something which can be built upon to make the products better and easier for everyone. True innovation (moving hair, JCMs, matfiles) is worthy of applause and encouragement, not a cut. I am more-than-pleased with my purchases. Note for Fauve, the peacock is still free in the PropsGuild, and there are other items there. I don't mind a touch of arrogance in those people who really are masters of their craft. But in those emails we've exchanged, he has been as kind and helpful as anyone could wish. Carolly

I can't speak highly enough about the quality and ease of use that Anton's products provide. I'm extremely happy with each and every one of my purchases! I believe that he is an excellent artist and feel fortunate that he chooses to share his talents with the community. Jazzmin

You all are awesome. Thankyou. I really am touched by your words. I've come to realize that my unconventional approach to Poser products can be confusing. Though most people who are upset just need an IM or email. I'm good at answering questions but I'm not good at making angry people happy. And I am not good with excentric tempers at all. So people who are mad usually stay mad. I really need to find someone to do "damage control" for me. lol. "Red Baron, As my work and techniques expanded it became necessary to retire some old products so they could be rebuilt using newer techniques and improvements. Right now, my work is exclusively at Daz. Some stuff is there, but not the P4 items. Some where converted to Millinium versions. The Everybed will eventualy appear at Daz for Mike and Vicki with a free cr2 update for the bbay version here most likely."" This for instance is something that will be at Daz this week. What I've learned from my DragonV2 made this one (though a very different style) possible. Thanks everyone. Tutorials on building figures and more freestuff is coming soon. -Anton

Mesh Magick, don't seem to be able to locate your Freestuff contributions

Lunaseas ( ) posted Tue, 04 September 2001 at 8:30 AM

Darn you Anton! I just spent a boatload on you this week at the summer sale and you go and make that dragon!! Argh, my poor credit card! Seriously though, thank you for your quality work you do absolutely terriffic work.

Ghostofmacbeth ( ) posted Tue, 04 September 2001 at 9:45 AM

chrisjol ... Don't always agree with Mesh Magick but he does contribute .. Thing is he has about 6 names I can think of at the moment and posts a lot of it off site.

nikitacreed ( ) posted Tue, 04 September 2001 at 11:41 AM

Oooooh! Ooooh! Love that dragon! I also just took advantage of the summer sale to buy Anton's Changing Ponytail. I love it!! It's worth every penny! BTW: Thanks for the Promo Girl. She's lovely. :o)

fauve ( ) posted Tue, 04 September 2001 at 12:05 PM

Thanks, hauksdottir! I still have my peacock (treasured it over the years) but I will cruise over to check out the other free stuff and see if there's anything I missed. Anton: will you ever release Joy again? I own Joy and love her... I use her in preference to Vickie, because while Joy is lovely, her features are more human and warm and less model-like than Vickie. I've had people ask me who the female figure was in my images, and when I tell them it's Joy and she's not available any more, they get bummed. And while classic Joy is great, if you ever get the urge to update her...! My credit card stands ready! ;-> -nemo

I have purchased more of Anton's products than any other single artist's, and am very happy with them. I have learned a great deal from that investment in our Master Artist's works, and someday soon plan to be a thorn in his side and give him a run for his money! ;p As to whether you like Anton or not Mesh Magick, did it ever occur to you that no one cares? If you think he is snooty, it is a reflection on your own inner self worth. He actually does not have to associate with or be nice to anyone, his products actually are enough. After all, one does not see Geoffry Beane associating with his customers, nor likely did one see Renoir doing much associating with his customers either. His work is actually enough, believe it or not ;) That he actually is personable and spends time with people and interacts, is a plus, and some of us, whose name I shall not say but whose initials are Mesh Magick do not deserve to be associated with perhaps ;)

Dr Zik ( ) posted Tue, 04 September 2001 at 2:22 PM

Hi Folks! Just to set the historical record straight for you newbies: Anton did not remove his items because of criticism. Like a lot of artists unfortunately, he did so to protect himself from pirates and thieves. The criticism that was directed toward him was because he pursued the thieves a lot more openly and aggressively than most of us were used to seeing at these forums. But, if you could do stuff as good as he can, wouldn't you? I'm not trying to stir up a pot full of **** here. I will say, however, that I am impressed by the fact that giants like Anton, DuaneMoody, and Traveler, to mention just a few are still regular enough to answer private messages on Poser matters that may only be significant to me. That kind of helpfulness rates very highly with me. So, with regards to Anton, to paraphrase a tribute made to that late, great (and imaginary) Texas oil baron Jock Ewing: "those who know him will understand, and those who don't never will."
