Subject: Need help with PSD file problem

I worked on a project last night and saved the file before going to bed. Now I get up and Photoshop is not able to open it saying it is not the correct file. And the file comes up with no file type at all. How can I fix this? Please I really don't want to work on it all over again.

I fixed it! It only needed was the .psd at the end of the name

in the preferences - in the "File Handling" option, there is a droplist about appending the ".psd" extension - make sure that's "Always" is selected...

(it's there in the Mac - not sure 'bout PCs)
