Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 03 8:59 am)
EZSkin identifies the figure by referencing the geometry file name.
It recognises V4 if the geometry file name is blMilWom_v4b.obj or blMilWom_v4.obj
If you have created a variant V4 which references a geometry with a different name, then it won't be recognised as V4.
EZSkin v2 (under development right now) allows you to work with an unsupported figure, either by manually assigning shaders to materials or by assigning a known figure's configuration to it. This is primarily to support genesis figures imported into Poser, but would work in your case too.
The current version of EZSkin requires that you create a definition in an XML format for the 'new' figure type.

Sorry - should have been clearer in my explanation: I'm creating a character by dialling the standard V4 and using the standard morph packages, so no geometry other than what's already there is being used.
I've just re-created the figure in a slightly different order (applying the texture then running the EZSkin script before dialling the changes and adding hair) and this time there is no problem.
Is there something about the order in which you do things that makes a difference here?

No, the order is unimportant. it is important, however, which figure is selected whrn you run the script.
My guess, based on what you have said, is that you added the hair figure, then ran the script while the hair was still the selected figure.
EZSkin would not recognise the hair figure as a supported figure.

I ran into that problem once myself and Snarly hit it right on the nose. I had the hair selected when I got that message.

Hi. I've been using the awesome EZSkin tool now for a short time but have encountered a problem with trying to use it on a particular V4 character I've been creating - when following the sintructions and selecting the character then trying to run the script I get the message that I have selected an unsupported figure.
It's a standard V4 with basic morph and morph++ applied. Why is it doing this?
