I don't think you get discounts for going from 8 to 10.5, too big a leap, lol! Many thinks hve changed indeed, most noticeably the new rocks (that finally look like decent rocks), splines to create geometry or cool ecosystems, new water shader and caustics, new fractals to create terrains and materials, and a lot more I can't think of now.
There's a $300 discount when upgrading from version 8, $695 for 10.5, $890 with one year maintenance. Still that's a big chunk of money. It sound like there are a lot of improvements, though. Is standard maintenance worth the $200 extra? Are they coming out with version 11 anytime soon? I would hate to pay the extra for maintence, and not even get an upgrade out of it.
If you pay the maint. fee, you get 11 when it comes out in November (late October).

I'm thinking about upgrading from Vue Infinite 8 to version 10.5, but it's so expensive. Are there big improvements from 8 to 10.5? Does E-on ever offer discounts on upgrades?
