Love,
Jacomina.

Hidee :), You are quick, Christo!

That knitted stuff is wonderful (made), as the colors are lovely.

That pencil-bag is decent, on mine are textures too, but also a bit dirt ;-)

God bless.

Meisiekind ( ) posted Sun, 01 July 2012 at 8:30 AM

I love the crocheted cloth Christo and the denim pencil bag is great. Thanks for the kick off!

Such a GREAT find and capture, Carin. So many different textures are to admire on your 'warning-shot'. I love the colors too, this makes also a special mood.

Ho,ho, I have to laugh about that skill....: "hello friend"! , who could it be, which could be behind this...?

You know, I like to play the detective as well.

Such beautiful nature-textures, Tara. It looks such lively,
maybe that's because this is so fresh from your camera ;-).

Hi Celart, what great pattern and colors those buttons makes, I love it.
Your second one looks a bit like a wheel (of my bike ;-), it has a fantastic depth too.
First Amsterdam and then Berlin, how do you do that? LOL

Celart ( ) posted Tue, 03 July 2012 at 10:05 AM

Hi dochtersions, thank you for appreciation. Thank you Meisiekind too.

It's a long time aviation has the same travel speed. I prefer tele-transport system. I Think this is the only way to visit more countries.

I apologize, but I don't know your names: who's Tara and who's Carin?

For presentation I'm Arturo.

Hi Hedepo,

elephant is amazing, great shot and great capture. Even if the elephant does not seem to run very fast.

dochtersions ( ) posted Tue, 03 July 2012 at 11:10 AM

Hi Henk, this indeed is a great texture-construction, as I my call it this way.
I first thought it was a cane chair. You bring me an idea, we have a woven bamboo chair.

@ Thank you Arturo for telling your name, wich sounds as a strong name to me.
I know it's an Italian boys name which means bear or stone.

I'm often called Mies, but because this in German means "dirty", I usually use my first baptismal name, which is Jacomina.

I'm not sure if it is perpitted for me to answer the question about the names of Tara and Carin.
So, sorry if I speak for my turn.

auntietk = Tara. Meisiekind = Carin.

Bye everyone :)

LOL, I didn't see the elefant on my way, and also not all the answers about the names.

Oh, I'm such a slow person by reading, a.s.o.

The elefant is GREAT!. Ben je een Hagenaar soms, Henk? (are you from The Hague, Henk?)
I've lived a while in/on de Erasmusweg, Cyclaamstraat, and Staringstraat in The Hague.

Hi Mies

Yes I was born in The Hague and lived in The Hague untill I had to do my militairy service!! We were living in Benoordenhout, not far away from Scheveingen. I'm comming from the "sand" Zand gronden from the Hague, so I'm a Hagenaar! (if you come from the "peat soil" veengronden from the Hague, you are a Hagenees)

We lived in Amsterdam/ Amstelveen for about 15 years and now we live for more then 20 years in Voorhout, near Leiden.

Is about 250 Kilometers driving from were you live in Limburg, at least Maastricht is about 250 road Km's from Voorhout.

The Hague is not far away from Voorhout, for serious shopping we still go back to our roots, but we  go often to The Hague, we do like it there!!

I like your "Green Green Gras" of your Limburg home ...." an old song a believe !!  LOL  !! upload!!

Groetjes

Henk

auntietk ( ) posted Tue, 03 July 2012 at 1:08 PM

I'm so lazy, not commenting much on this thread!  We're camping in the motorhome, and RR tends to slip down in my priority list a bit when we're in the woods and everything is so beautiful!

Welcome, Arturo!  It's nice to meet you.  Your pictures for this thread have been wonderful.  I particularly like the buttons!  I'm waiting for teleportation technology, as well.  I would go so many more places!  LOL!  (I'm Tara, by the way.)

Love the grass, or grain, Jacomina!  Not corn ... that's got big wide leaves and grows on a single thick stalk.  At this time of year corn should be knee-high, but by the end of August it's well over my head.  Your shot is beautiful!  I love the waves.  If looks like wheat to me.

Great elephant, Henk!  That's really something.  Perfect for texture shots.

The sun is supposed to come out this afternoon, and they say we're in for a nice, sunny week.  Maybe I'll be able to get more texture shots!  :D

Jacomina - it does look like wheat! Gorgeous and flowy - and I happen to know how it feels! Really lovely!

@ Thank you so much, Christo. Ek hou van die Afrikaans om dit te lees.
God se seën.

@ Well, Tara, you're kidding, again hiding in a tent?! Thanks for explaining that it's grain, yes I think it's wheat.

@ So nice Henk, you are telling me about your The Hague 'adventure's'.
I know where Voorhout is. And Leiden is so beautiful. I only lived for about two-three years in The Hague. And now we live not far from Maastricht (Sweikhuizen).
My husband has his roots in The Hague, but is born in Hoorn, his family is from Enkhuizen.
(Oh, yes I know that song, thank you Henk)

This has become a little 'chatting' here, I hope it isn't bothers anyone.
I will stop by now!!! :)

But not before : "thank you very much, dear Carin" ♥

auntietk ( ) posted Tue, 03 July 2012 at 2:56 PM

No, no tents, Jacomina!  :)  We have a nice house on wheels to stay in.  When it rains we stay dry and hear the rain on the roof, snug as bugs!  Mandy wouldn't be willing to stay in a tent.  She's a country girl at heart, but likes her comfortable couch and her soft blanket in the window!  LOL!

"If your pictures aren't good enough, you're not close enough."  ...  Robert Capa

dochtersions ( ) posted Tue, 03 July 2012 at 3:54 PM

@ Tara:
Haha, I was joking, I knew of your beautiful 'country house on wheels', where even is a place for me, if I could come to stay in your pleasant company.
And you should not pretend it's Mandy for her comfort, I guess you prefer a bit more 'on housing' too, right? Let's not talk about Bill ;-). Big smile!

Celart ( ) posted Tue, 03 July 2012 at 4:49 PM

@ Mies/Jacomina. your grain shot needs to zoom in. The view on the page don't show the high quality of contrast definition and you loose something in view. Great shot.

@ Tara. Thank you for appreciation on my buttons. I discovered this shot is only for photographers, usually people don't enjoy to view this photo.

@ all of you. Thank you for welcoming.
