Ragtopjohnny ( ) posted Fri, 06 July 2012 at 8:47 PM · edited Thu, 09 January 2025 at 9:46 AM

Hey all,

Considering buying this truck this weekend and am wondering what you all think of it who may own it out there.

Also, does it come with templates?  Gears spinning all ready in my head for it.  😄

I don't have that truck, but Powerage makes awesome products with great attention to detail.

Here is what the readme states. Maybe this will help you?  Also, it indicates that there is a template as well.

PACKAGE CONTENT

  • 1 truck figure complete (with all smarts props)

  • 1 truck figure base (without smarts props)

  • 7 ERC control on the body (doors, wheels, exausts valves, etc...)

  • 11 separate smarts props to customize the truck easily

  • 41 styles colors and textures maps (4000x4000) with MATS poses

  • 1 trailer figure

  • 5 ERC control on the body (doors, wheels, crutchs, etc...)

  • 41 styles colors and textures maps (4000x4000) with MATS poses (corresponding to the truck)

  • 1 Driver pose for V4

  • 1 Driver pose for M4

Excellent thanks Acadia --- I honestly missed the template part on the readme file.  I did look at it though.

I have their MOM and it works good for alot of people in a scene and I own a couple of their outfits.

Think I'll definitely be grabbing that Monday.  😄

Have a great weekend!

It was easy to miss. It was near the very bottom.

Have fun with your new toy!!

I think the truck is a very good buy with a lot of options.  I can confirm that the it does comes with templates which are hidden in the 'runtime' folder.  I say hidden as I move any templates to a different folder but that is so I can find them in a hurry and keep my runtimes a small as possible.

I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 -  Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB  storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU .   The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.

Thanks Hornet!

Wow, that's a nice one for Sketchup, but I prefere the opening doors, etc, without having to create those morphs on my own.

I'm all ready having ideas for add-ons to the Power Truck as well.....😄

I really like that shade of red and the chrome you chose for the truck though 👍

Be aware ..that .. and im not talking about this product but in general ..

Included templates say absolutly nothing..

The templates included might be at 512x512 .. or 800x800 ..and in such make them a bit useless..

so what to do ... make them yourself..invest some money/Time and extracthem from each and every itme you own..

then you can make them at any scale you want..

scaling up template's from 512x512 to 2048x2048 make the line's in them way to big ..

So make them youself is my advice 😉

Thanks for the info I had never thought of it before but you are right.  The templates in this case appear to be 4000 x 4000.
