Hi Tara,

Thank you for your 'interesting update'!

@ Christo:  Beautiful textures on both shots, and the light is gorgeous!

@ Jacomina:  The wall will make a good texture shot!  I'll make sure to get some pictures of it for you.  Maybe even with Bill standing next to it!  :D

Christo I really like your leave texture.. I might sen in some texture of my "birdnest pine"  :)  It is HUGE :)  What bird should live in that? LOL!  The bird ROK?

And your roof tex looks so now and nice :)

Here is the Birdnest Pine. It had usually a flat shape with a deep center for a "nest". but this brew for many years, so you cannot find the center anymore. But I cannot show it here, as it is not a texture shot then :)  But this I think is ok.

kgb224 ( ) posted Mon, 16 July 2012 at 8:01 AM

Thank you Tara and Mies.

Mies this is a wonderful Pine with some wonderful green lush textures.

Tara we are waiting for the new wall.

God Bless.

dochtersions ( ) posted Mon, 16 July 2012 at 3:42 PM

Hi there,

Your textures are great Christo, and also two superb idea's for this challenge!
btw, I'm afraid you have the names of Helle and me 'changed'.
This really is the first time this week I react after seeing your great pictures, my friend :).

@Hi Helle, such pinsharp needles on your tree, and with an extra bonus of the drops on it too!

@ Tara, And now waiting till the hard work has finished :D. Thumb up there on that wall!

Many greetings from The Netherlands, where we spoiled away (as we say) by a lot of rain ;-)

Hi Everyone,

Here my first.
A toad, which has fled inside our house. Very late at night I discovered this in the hall.

Oh wow!  I have been missing out - just like Carin says, no e-bots to nudge me!

Anyway, I took some shots this weekend...

Here is a painting of some flowers, the light from the window highlighting the texture of the paint.

Good for you for taking the picture BEFORE escorting the creature outside!  LOL!  Nicely done!

I took a couple of texture shots of the wall today, but they're still in the camera.  I worked really hard, and haven't had time to play much!  Maybe tomorrow ... :)

Here is my second. Texture on a squash leaf, BEFORE the snails ate it. I will be off for a couple of days. MORE family visit. Will have 5 people outside on the lawn for 2 days... in a tent. My oldest son and 4 kids. I wonder how many will actually use the tent. Weather here isnt ideal for that...... EITHER!

kgb224 ( ) posted Tue, 17 July 2012 at 2:26 AM

Superb capture and upload Helle.

Enjoy your time with your family.

God Bless.

helanker ( ) posted Tue, 17 July 2012 at 2:45 AM

Thanks Christo. I bet half of them will sleep on the floor in here, as the lawn is FULL of SLUGS and HUGE SNAILS after Cloud bursts tonight. :)

Have a great time :)

dochtersions ( ) posted Tue, 17 July 2012 at 3:12 AM

@ Helle : I love that zucchini-flower, as I love to eat the fruit very much too!.
It makes a lovely texture-shot here, Helle.
You wrote:

"I bet half of them will sleep on the floor in here"

May I ask, dear friend:

What proportion of the members of your family has slept in the tent?
The bottom or the top half?

Anyway, I hope, all reassembled, and they will enjoy a beautiful holiday with you.

At least:
Thank you very much, Christo, Tara and Helle!
p.s. Clive, I'm sorry I made a mistake by written your name!

helanker ( ) posted Tue, 17 July 2012 at 3:32 AM

My little granddaughter(11) asked if they may come ant sleep in tant up here and of course they can, so she her two brothers and her dad (my son) AND a cousin to the kids will come within half an hour. I am having a 2 minutes break, as I washed myself into a corner LOL! FLoor is still wet :) My daughter in law and her mom, whom is on a vacation in Denmark.   OH i better run bye bye Have a great day/WEEK

dochtersions ( ) posted Tue, 17 July 2012 at 3:57 AM

Have a great day/week too, with all the lovely gast around you, dear friend!

btw, I made a joke about the question, what part of their body was sleeping inside, and wich part was sleeping outside.
And now I hope, my friend, you become clean in that two minutes in the corner.

LOL!

helanker ( ) posted Tue, 17 July 2012 at 5:07 AM

HAHAHAH!   No, but my floor did :-)  And thank you.  They havent arrived yet,  (It was Dennis and my husband that came home from shopping), so I had to run LOL! ...Guess the children have alot to do packing down all the stuff for the tent. And, Jacomina, the tent is big enough, so they dont have to sleep with the feet or anything else outside, LOL !

I wanted to say that my daughter in law and her mom will stay home...  Her mom came all the way from Israel with the another grandson. Bet they have alot to talk about alone :)

And I am not sure which of them havnt slept in a tent before. I could guess NOA Will not sleep in the tent, as she is terrified of all the slugs we have here.

See you in a couple of days :)

auntietk ( ) posted Tue, 17 July 2012 at 2:35 PM

I never would have thought to take a picture of the paint on a canvas, Clive.  A clever idea, and well done!

Love the flower, Helle.  Beautiful veining!  I hope the tenting works out!  :)

I'm nearly late with this, but this is one of those texture thingies that pops up on occasion in Chicago.  This is the side of a defunct fire-house walking distance from my current job and not too far from a particular Persian Restaurant known to various Renderosity members.

Welcome aboard Chipka.

Amazing textures in this capture.

This photo is moments old.  It's...well...it'll appear in radically different form in my gallery.  In raw form, it's a brick with mortar.  In tweaked form, it may become a planet.  Well...at any rate, here it is.  Texture in Macro.

I seem to be on this brick riff for some reason.

WOW! Super textures, Chip. Both of them :) SO nice to see you in here :)

auntietk ( ) posted Thu, 19 July 2012 at 1:01 AM

Both are great shots, Chip!  Excellent stuff!  You're not late ... you can post two images a week to this thread during the month of July.  :)  You're making me hungry for dinner at Reza's.  Mmmmmmmmmm  !!!

Hi Helle,

the flower of the zucchini should catch the morning when it is opened. The pastela wrap in flour dough and fried in olive oil. fantastic in summer dinner.

Your shot is nice.

I love also the Chip's two. The wall best, great capture.

Wonderful capture Clive. What kind of nose is it?

Ciao to everybody

cfulton ( ) posted Fri, 20 July 2012 at 4:27 AM

Hi Arturo, It is the nose of a dog, a Jack Russell terrier, lying sleeping on the bed next to me.

Have a great weekend everyone!
