Subject: Create Sprinkler Water Effect

Attached Link: Sprinkler

Hi,

I've been creating a series of summer snapshot images and am now trying to create a summer scene using a sprinkler (see link) but can't come up with any ideas on what product to use or how to achieve this in Poser 2012.   Any ideas other than postworking it in Photoshop, which I realize I may have to do, would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!  Dani

Hi Dani,

I have a set by greenpots which has a shower scene with props that look like sprinkling water that can be changed by python scripts to make different amounts of sprinkled water. Doubt it would go right out like a sprinkler but maybe if you took the scene apart and saw how it worked you could get a similar effect for a sprinkler.

Give this a try.  I rigged this up for a blog animation.  The ZIP includes the prop for the water and a PZ3.  The PZ3 (self-contained) shows how to move the parts when animated.

In case it's not clear, four controls are moving during the animation: the three Noise values on the water prop, and the Phase value on the Wave.  The Noise values may not be crucial, but the Phase is necessary.

If it can be something commercial, Flink, here at Rendo, has a nice set of "Water FX" objects. They come in many different variations.
