Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 21 1:30 pm)

Subject: Perhaps my dumbest question, ever!

arrowhead42 ( ) posted Sun, 29 July 2012 at 11:15 PM · edited Tue, 07 January 2025 at 6:05 AM

Hi everyone - oh, boy is THIS embarrassing. Here goes......

I was working with Poser 6 a few days ago, and while working with the grouping tool, I accidentally slid my entire document window off the screen. Now I can't get it back! When I go to my material room tab, it's still there, but in the main (poser) tab it's hidden off screen somewhere. I've been messing with this thing every spare minute for a few days now, trying to somehow slide it back into my work area, with no success.

Does anyone know how I can get it to move back onto my screen?

Thanks for any help....  :(

you could try to reset the poser interface to its factory state

Why not increase the size of it until it gets visible and you can get an hold on it, cant remember if its under window or Display (rendering rigth now so I cant check).

OK, I figured it out. I hadn't dragged the document window off the Poser screen. I've got my computer set up so that I can have dual screens, from when I used to have it connected to 2 monitors. Now I only have 1, and so I'd actually dragged the display window onto my non-existent 2nd monitor. I hooked a nother monitor up, and ther ewas my document display window.... all I had to do was drag it back onto my primary monitor.

Now I REALLY feel stupid!!

My Dad always says there's no such thing as a stupid question and chances are good someone else has the same question. This morning I opened up a second browser window and then couldn't find it. I thought of this thread and sure enough it was on the monitor I hadn't turned on.

The reason I linked BB's solution was that whenever I change the resolution on my 2nd monitor, the Poser library that normally opens there goes missing, and his method gets it back for me.
