Too large. But that's a very common thing among model makers. Angela has hands too large as well, but Ali put in a morph to shrink them and the feet. Perhaps Michelle has that too.
Laurie
Thinking aloud: The face is pretty. But it's a caucasian face, and there is no dark skin. She has enough morphs, and If I bought her, I would probably buy the add-on morph pack too. I could make an OK dark skin, but I would like a really good one. She is stylised, but realistic enough for me. I hate the feet (so much) but they are being fixed.
What does she offer that I can't already have with Antonia, Bella, the Alyson derivatives, the Victorias, Mikis, P6Jessi or the G2 ladies? Those are the figures I use a lot. I just don't see what she has that is significantly different. Despite being stylised, she has about 70000 polygons, so she doesn't have the low-poly advantage. The main promo image of her looks very similar in style and face type to Illusions Designs' V3 or V4 characters - soft face, luscious lips, wide eyes. I can already achieve that look, since I have many of their characters and I can get more really inexpensively. Weightmapped, so she bends well. I don't do extreme poses though. The body reminds me of Antonia - very average. No Wardrobe Wizard support yet. So I am waiting. I have been back to look at her several times.
And I now find myself also considering Little One, which I do not have, and Mankahoo's Angela 2. I don't really need any of them, but at least the other two are distinctive. There is also BVH's Angela, which is low-poly. I think what I am saying is she does not have the immediate appeal that would make me rush to buy her. And if I react like this, perhaps others will too, and the chances of the figure gaining lots of support would be slim. But I could be wrong.

Well, she is lightyears better than the native Poser people, so a brand new Poser user who has not yet been directed to climb on the V4 bandwagon would likely be utterly enthralled with her.
We who have several hundred GB of content in our runtimes are likely going to wait to see what happens. For instance, a detailed Blackhearted sculpt of Michelle (given that her face looks way, way, way better than Alyson's) would make her an instant seller, and I'd buy her immediately. But for now, I'll wait.

And then, after trying so hard to talk myself out of it, I bought her and her morphs. I think I went back and looked at her ten times before I succumbed. Reasons for buying at last? Most of all, the team that made her. Those are top creators. Like I supported Blackhearted with Anastasia and Shae, this is my vote of support for people who are making things to take advantage of Poser's features. Looks like I'll have to make a dark skin for Michelle. And it will be free. I am still busy with another one for Bella, then I'll get onto Michelle.

Thank you. I spent a whole day on that one morph. The smile morphs you get are not the first ones I made. The original smile morphs where pretty bad. LOL! Then Colm said something to me that gave me a eureka moment. He said to me "With the expressions you need to open up the face." I know it sounds silly but that one line of advise changed the way I do morphs. So, I deleted all of Michelle's expression morphs and started over, creating them one by one. With each expression I would spend hours studying photos of the human face with that expression then, try my best to make Michelle's face look that way. As far as her smile goes, I looked at a ton of pictures of Natalie Portman's smile. I always thought she had a warm, perfect smile.
Thank You!

well I didnt rush to grab this one as
a) I'm feeling poor after buying a new car all of a sudden (yikes)
and b) Joe is already all over it so someone else can do magnets for once :)
But it does look like a cute new figure. Couple little things here and there I'd probably touch up with small morphs, but then I do that to every figure I get my mitts on. Doesnt suffer from DAZ's eternal pinhead-itis which drives me buggo. Has a younger, cuter feel to her, but that may just be me
The bends all look pretty good and the fact that the figure is out already with Crossdresser and hair convertor support is a great thing.
So I'll probably pick this up in a month or so when cash permits (y'all go buy my stuff now okay? lol) with the eye to makeing a Devkit for her like my ALy2 one and maybe some other bits and bobs.
And kids .. be nice. even making a pair of socks is a giant pain in the wossnames, a whole human figure no matter how much you like or don't like it - thats a heroic effort.

Yeah, maybe that's it. There seem to be morphs for everything so there's probably something for hand size. They just look.... odd...

There's a dark-skinned character for her in the works.
I thought I saw something of Sandra Bullock's smile there too. The ability to smile convincingly is crucial for my Poser work because I do stories. It was the first thing I tested after loading her into my scene. Very nice. She is assured of a part in my story with that smile, even if I have to use her as a "white" woman!
Edit: Oh good! that dark skin is just right.

Innr thigh bulges way too much. Look at how legs should be shaped. Note the change in contour by the knee.
Also, the wrist needs to be adjusted. From the front and back it looks really thick - like there's no transition between the arm and hand. Also, the back of the ankles on a human thin out to the achilles tendon. And more transition between the bottom of the leg and foot. And yeah, the knees need to be angled down and inward a bit.
I realize you probably don't wanna hear any advice from me as I was not constructive at all in my criticism before, but here it is, as it is ;).
Laurie
I've got her and have played with the various morphs and tried a lot of poses. She is, IMHO, what everyone has been yelling for: A girl who is pretty out of the box, but who does not look like a high fashion model. She morphs beautifully.
I agree with you, LaurieA about the glitches on various shape areas, but Tate has already indicated he is listening to those comments, so I expect her to improve with age.
I'm not nuts about the texture pack that comes with her, but again, I expect that to take care of itself as more characters become available for her. (Thanks, Snarley, for the quick addition to EZSkin,... that helps a lot!)
Tony, I hate to have to agree with you () but you are 100% correct... vendor suppport is going to determine her fate. I will say this... Tate and Co. SEEM to be doing this right.
jjrowland... I see a STUNNING opportunity for you to make a buck off her, as well. (Inside joke, folks... move along.)
In short, I think she COULD be the real deal that Poser users who want an alternative to V4 have been waiting for.
Thanks to Tate and Company.
Quote - Well, I really disagree with one point - your last one. I think Anastasia is the alternative to V4 we've been looking for....lol. But, I could be wrong :P I am, frequently...lol.
Laurie
Don't get me wrong. I'm a big fan of Anastasia as well! I'm just sad she has not "caught on" a bit more quickly than she has. (I'm still waiting for a bra and panties set that I like for her.)
Quote - Here is a headshot from the above mentioned morph I'm working on.
WOW, love the head shot of the new morph, now I am getting interested. I like the warm smile too, it's beginning to look as though it provides something more than what I have already.
I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 - Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU . The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.

I don't know if I mentioned it but, Michelle has her own facebook if anyone is intrested in following her.Attached Link: http://www.philc.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=105&start=345
I was just on PhilC's forum. Looks like good news for "My Michelle" users! :D sweet!Quote - Well, I really disagree with one point - your last one. I think Anastasia is the alternative to V4 we've been looking for....lol. But, I could be wrong :P I am, frequently...lol.

I'll reserve judgement till I see these new poser figures that are apparently coming out ...From there we can see what will catch on and what will blow away like a fart in the wind:)
Quote - Thanks, the ankles and, achilles tendons have been tweaked a lot. ;) Here is another screen grab.

Cool
Yes, the feet and ankles are looking good there - many thanks.
The hands are possibly looking a little bit too big now, relative to the feet... I think?? Otherwise the hands look very nice I reckon.
That said, I would like having the option of bigger hands too... so I'd be as keen to be able to scale the feet up, in the above, as much as the hands down... depending on the exact look I was going for... and I think you've already got the hand and feet size morphs available in her anyway?
Overall I think your Michelle is a cracker, Tate... and getting better by the hour it seems
So you can't scale them seperately? Do they only scale in Constrain proportions?
Just note that Poserworld.com have now a first clothing for Michelle '
By the way ,Poserworld put recently many new products so it would be interesting if they support Michelle like they recently did for Anastasia
For me , i will wait the update before buying Michelle .Right now i think she need may corrections on legs and face (i share some suggestions read here) and a very good texture for its body and face
And wait to see what PhilC do for transferring cloths to Michelle

Speaking of morphs, options and making your own. Besides the PMD and empty channels (there are 60 and trivial for anyone to include more if they needed room), I have a utility on the table that will tap into Michelle's native morph system and convert a cr2 into injections for it (it writes out the whole shebang). It is in private test and will be a free tool. I feel like I've posted this already. It's that kind of week :)
