Subject: Is Site Broken?

tsarist ( ) posted Wed, 08 August 2012 at 7:39 PM · edited Thu, 14 November 2024 at 10:27 AM
Online Now!

I can see some modifications have been made to the site.

The product pages have only one picture on a white background. There is no Prime expiration date on any of those pages.

It would be nice if I could see more than one image for a product.

Please fix this.

I'm using Firefox, as always.

The site ran fine yesterday.

Did you click on the product title to go to the product page?  Also you can click on the thumbnail for the quickview and click on the title there or the thumb there and go to the product page.

Let me know

Online Now!

Oh, I see.

Thanks.

Don't see the point behind the extra step, but I'm grateful I can still see the products page with just one extra click.

Look I hate to point this out but to me personally the new icons that replace text links and the way you now click on title to go the product page are not nice at all. They are counter intuitive and the whole interface now looks unprofessional.  That's my opinion. I used to love visiting Renderosity every day especially marketplace - in 12 years have not complained about anything - until today.

me too Tom... I just posted my VERY UNHAPPY message in the Market place support.. our brains have been conditioned for a very long time to simply CLICK THE THUMBNAIL and go to the store

PLUS the annoying...REALLY ANNOYING zoom + thingy is TOTALLY distracting from the product thumb itself!! you want the thumb to lure the buyer in, SO DON'T COVER IT UP... and don't tell me well you have to click this....or go there and click that... the more clicks it takes the less likely I am to buy... and I am betting others feel the same way.

As I said in my other post, Rendo is MY STORE OF CHOICE now, and I spend over $100 a month here... I want to enjoy browsing around and I will NOT be browsing for pleasure (or clicking) thumbs that are all cluttered up with the zoom icon!!!!!!!  You want people to buy spontainiously (spell) to go OH wow, and click the thumb and go, don't you?

Signed: PUT OFF

edit: oh geeze, it's all over the store pages too... I went to Fabi's store itself and there is all that stuff.. it's like graffiti! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Have to agree. Appears Rendorosity has gone the way of DAZ3d and used rule number 1, If it ain't broke, break it!

Fredy ( ) posted Thu, 09 August 2012 at 10:42 AM

So "new" (improved) shopping experience at Rendo is REALLY bad!!!

For more than 10 years I clicked on the thumbnail to get to the product detail page. All fine! And now a stupid popup comes up... :( This does not really help...

Has anyone complained about your website? I don't think so!

So why did you change it? Haven't you learned about the DAZ3D desaster?

Lyne ( ) posted Thu, 09 August 2012 at 1:33 PM

I wrote an e mail last night to Rendo, but I am thinking of CALLING them on the phone! If we and our friends do not speak up, they will just think we are a dissatisfied few.... they will not realize we are the voice of the silent majority!

I am also going to speak with my MONEY... they will see a drastic DROP in the money I allow for Rendo... I will 'shop' in the Product Showcase Gallery (the forum might be a good place too, to see uncluttered pictures to help us make our choices) I can then buy ONLY the products I really NEED... no more spontaneous purchases for me!

The problem with that is not all venders show in the Showcase or post in the forum, so the venders also are sadly going to be hurt by people angry at the SILLY GLITZY annoying store "improvements"! :(

Thank you DAZ for saving me money, and now... THANK YOU RENDO FOR SAVING ME MONEY!  This world is a habit-hobby and we all need help with our addictions... now Rendo has joined in helping cure us!

I wanted to let you know the programmers are working now on some issues. We are working on the border on the thumbnails and changing those, also on how the functionality of clicking the thumbs works, and having that thumb "click" go directly to the product pages and not the Preview. There are a few other things that are being tweaked as well...just try to be a bit patient and give all of us some time to workthrough these. :)

Thank you,

Well already there is a POSITIVE change for the better! The ugly big magnifying glass is gone off the thumb pic (replaced by a teeny tiny one in the upper left) but I now feel (if they leave it this way) I will be able to ENJOY browsing around products in every section!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! My faith is restored!

Amen to that!

Fredy ( ) posted Fri, 10 August 2012 at 9:44 AM

Thanks a lot for doing such a quick change! :)

This is the MUCH better than yesterday! :)

Why are sponsored items not separated from the New Items on the What's New page?

If you really HAVE to put those on top of the What's New section (which I find a bad idea), please have the good sense to put it in a separate section or at least change the color schema.

The way it is done now feels like trying to fool your loyal customers

One other thing: Who's idea is it to use a BLUE font on a BLUE background
