What's with the demand for all the personal data to get the download? I gave it my serial already that should be enough.

It's the new website, I'm guessing.

I just fed it some random stuff. No need to spread around my info when I'm not actually giving them any money.

They've just reworked their entire website, which may explain it.

I was surprised that I wasn't asked to log in - weren't you? - and since they have this data already, I can't see the harm in supplying it again.

It's slightly odd and a bit annoying, but it hasn't ruined my day.

I've always logged into SmithMicro/ContentParadise first to get patches to avoid this kind of "Big Brother" thing in the past. Seems it doesn't care it's asking for it all over again anyways now. I have a VERY low tollerance for it as a consumer. I was even running out of patience with having the use the cart system at that before. This is worse.

Single-axis scaling is fixed, so all you non-riggers will be finally able to create realistic dwarfs, giants and children in Poser.

Some more rigging improvements, but not sure yet how valuable they are going to be.

Not sure what to make of GoZ ? Can it do reverse joint deformations like PoseMorphLoader ?

I'm currently concentrating on my own custom figures rather than trying to use Genesis in Poser, but I would be interrested to know if SR3 brought some improvements towards conforming Genesis clothing ?

There are improvements for creating weightmaps, which should make it a lot easier to use these.

Genesis clothing and figure hair works fine now without the need for an additional script. There is a property "Follow Origins when Conforming" which will take care of the relocation of the origin when scaling is used.

GoZ works with a posed and morphed figure. When returning to Poser it will have a created a morph which does not include the previous morphs. Not sure if that is the same thing as what PoseMorphLoader does.

A brand new Postwork Manager
And scaling
And Weightmapping
And an IC checkbox
And a new script interface
And SSS working on stand alone props

And, I surely am forgetting a few hundred stability improvements.

Personal information isn't trivial. Just wait until some day if your phone number gets into the wrong hands and you start getting 60 marketing phone calls a day then you'll understand.

Yes indeedy. Just make sure that you check the "Posed" option when you export out to ZBrush. That will do the reverse deformation. It's in the manual. 8-)

Quite... I'd never put my phone number into these things. There is no legitimate reason for SM to phone me about my download.

Less bothered about email... I can automatically pre-filter and pre-delete unwanted stuff coming into that... and obviously in this case, a working email address is a functional requirement.

On that point, I'm not sure why a download page / button at the end of the form submission process isn't possible. A lot of these software delivery platforms seem to be favouring this emailed link delivery method now... for whatever reason?

Thing being the new way you don't even log in, and well if yes it can be a pain but what ya gonna do, this is the is the way most companies are doing things now. And I remember everytime I wanted to use the old store I had to disable my modems harware firewall to download or even access the store properly..

And  unless you disconnect from the net and move to a remote location where no one lives they know where you are everytime you buy something with a credit card or sign up for something online, do your taxes so long as this company is not run by organised crime then you should be safe..

But in the end just about everyone has your personal information you just don't know it. (Example: Facebook and that would be more scary than anything. Infact you would be giving out more information to Facebook than most others.)

You know you enjoy 3D Art when you realize that your life is a piece of 3D Art. :)

But this is now fixable. Use SnarlyGribbly's scene fixer script, the 'dials' option, reveal XYZ scale dials for all body parts.

Check the scale on Freak's collar (114%) and now apply that to the shoulder.

Hey presto - sorted!

Sort of; DAZ made the Gen 4 characters some time ago and until today Poser couldn't accommodate the type of scaling they used. I can't imagine DAZ are going to rework those and offer updates, at least not for free (but who knows?), so we'll have to do it ourselves.

It's really not difficult though.

In the case of Freak 4, I downloaded the most recent one and noticed that the scaling of the shoulders is still off in it.

However, after loading the Freak into PP2012 SR3, I clicked the shoulder and noticed that the Scaling parameter is exposed already on both shoulders. I just dialed both of them up to 114% and then resaved the CR2 back into the Library as "Freak4 Fixed."  That fixed version loaded in without issue.

That's cool.  I'm glad those of you with the latest toy are getting an update.  For those of us still working with, say, Poser 7 how do we find out if OURS is the most current version?  For some reason my P7 has no Materials tab where the other general file tabs are located on the right side of the screen.

I'm a few years behind, so forgive me if I'm wrong, but that looks like a new problem?  Even in Poser 7 Freak 4 worked fine naked.  It's when you try to use freak scale in conjunction with his morphs that the scaling breaks, not on him, but on his clothing.  I thought the single axis problem in poser was that it made the figures undressable.
