LOL!
Actually - I don't know that I've ever looked at Ryan's normal face!
That main pic Tyler has a bit of a look of a younger Brad Pitt about him. Maybe.
If you look at Ryan, make sure you put on your rose colored glasses first ;).
Laurie
Quote - Tyler looks promising, but I'll only be really interested if there is content available for him like a variety of texture maps with some body and facial hair and some decent clothing. Oh, who am I kidding, I'm sure he'll end up in my shopping cart the day he becomes available.
NTIATWAS perhaps?

He looks fantastic! I'm not sold on his face, but it is indeed an improvement over Ryan and presumably the face can be changed. ;) I hope he has better luck with clothing than Anastasia, though--all I have for her at the moment are a couple dynamic dresses (three, to be exact). Yes, there is clothing in the marketplace for her, but most of it makes V4's wardrobe look like a parka. :(
Looks great, for the most part. IMO, the arms look to be at the wrong rotation in relation to the body, though. That left arm up pose... ouch.

Yeah. The wrist looks a bit funky too in that pose.
But looking at the Ryan base mesh, I don't think it's so much the wrong rotation as it is a lack of geometry in the shoulder/underarm area to create the necessary muscle/skin deformation for the pose. If the geometry isn't there, then the pose will be stiff./stretched like that.
I think the pose is mostly correct, anatomically.

Quote - > Quote - Zarin, Poserworld has some items for Alyson2/Anastasia/Shae.
I'm not a member there, and last I checked they don't sell items individually. :/
Currently $24.99 for a months membership. Unlimited downloads for that period. They have nine outfits for Anastasia. Plus about 2300 other items. New coming frequently. You probably wont find many deals better than that.
Please tell me that Tyler's base isn't that defined. That really eliminates freedom of body morphs. Before you start you're going to have to smooth out everything and create a blank canvas. If that definition was a morph then great, But if that is the base, then its a lot more work. Same with Miki4's face. You're going to have to normalize the face before doing any shapes. These new figures should have been released as blank as possible and Tyler and Miki should have been morphs. Having them so distinct as a base was the wrong direction. Just my opinion.
Well If I want to create a fat body morph, all the muscle definition would have to go, this is just an example.
I guess the ease of smoothing will be determined by what software you're using to smooth those features out.
If you're still doing it vert by vert then yeah, I guess that would take a while and be a pain, so I see your point. But then, why would you still be doing it that way?
*Oh, and keep in mind also, the Ryan2 base has pre-existing FBMs for various body types. I don't know how well they blend with the Tyler morph - will find that out in a month or so, but they are there, so they may be helpful.

Yes, the determining factor is how well Ryans morphs blend with Tyler. Oh I do my work in Zbrush so editing the mesh is a breeze. I want to keep some features of Tyler that has improved the Ryan Base. Whether to work off Ryan base or Tyler morph I don't know. Will have to wait and see how they work together.
If you were to create a morph, why wouldn't you just use ryan2 as the base rather than tyler. I'm assuming tyler will be a dialed in morph like anastasia. I know Alyson and Ryan both load in looking ugly, but they have a lot going for them as figures. I think they are neutral enough to use as whatever base one would want. Although their edgeloops to lend themselves very well to athletic type characters.

because theres a lot more to both of those figures than just muscle tone.
but a fat morph from either, would you be inclined to make one, would be very easily accomplished with the Poser Morphing Tool. its pretty much what its made for. you wont be doing vertice-level mesh fixes with it, or morphing fine detail in fingers and toes... but smoothing detail with the smooth brush and adding 'fat' with the Pull brush is a snap.
also just because someone is fat, does not mean that their underlying anatomy is wildly different. in fact someone who is 350-400lbs and carries that around all day has large muscles underneath all that fluff. every time they step up onto a step, or get up from a crouch, its like a thinner person doing a squat or a step-up holding a 200lb barbell.
so the point is that when making a 'fat morph' you arent 'erasing away' that muscle, but rather building up layers of fat overtop of it.
Well I will have to get him first to see how to approach it. There might be some parts I like on Tyler morph and some on Ryan base. I will have to find the balance.
Quote - > Quote - Somebody posted a facebook quote somewhere that said they will be offered free upon release for a limited time to help generate support for content creators willing to create for Miki and Tyler... thats pretty cool!

Hi Zaarin,
If you use this code - PWHALF - you can get a month's membership for half the price or an annual for half off. They might sell individual items on their other site.
ETA: The coupon is only good until the 31st of August.

Quote - Certainly a testiment to the quality of Blackhearted's work that SM is actually promoting this add on.
The character looks excellent. May actually give me a reason to begin using one of Posers native figures.
If it's anything like Anastasia, it makes the Poser figures useable. It's just that few seconds of time between loading the default Alyson2 and when she changes, mercifully, into Anastasia...lol shudder.

Shudder. Indeed.
You could always just load a morphed Anastasia, no?
I don't because I'm converting a bunch of dynamic stuff to Alyson, and I find that nothing (dynamic or conforming) converts well to Anastasia for me (I guess I need the WW plugin for her specifically). But dynamic converts quite nicely to Alyson. And then I get to watch the magic as she morphs into something human while the sim is taking place.

lol Inverse lycanthropy: she morphs from a monster into a beautiful human being. :p
I have not had much luck converting to Ana directly either. Converting to Alyson2 via WW then cleaning up in Silo, then re-grouping in AGE, then transfering rigging in the setup room then adjusting weightmaps as necessary is my current process. If clothing has morphs I try to transfer those back via morphing clothes. THEN at last I ad Anastasia morphs with Lyrra's Magnets. So far I'm mostly working with my own content and not trying conversions of purchased content. Its a fairly lengthy ordeal.
