Well, I finished the cake and delivered it on time but missed the wedding myself. :( Syyd, the flowers took about 10 hours to make, 8 hours to dry and 5 hours to arrange. There are hundreds. The cakes took a full day + to make, ice, basketweave, etc. All was delivered with no catastrophies however it was hot, the table wasn't level and about an hour after this picture was taken the flowers that you can see sliding off the top right slid off and hid the table with a deafening thud. Made me cry for a minute or two but at least the bride and groom saw the cake before it crashed. Even better than the cake looking great was that I got major compliments on it tasting great, too! :)

Thanks, Alpha! tasted like Strawberry Shortcake in a way. :) This photo is with the digital. I hope the 35mm ones came out better. :) BTW, I got my vacation pictures back last night. WOW did I get some great shots of a sunrise. Gave me goosebumps looking at them. All I could think was "and I was there!" I'll scan them soon and share. :)

Its beautiful, just beautiful...It was nice to see them when they were made, and then to see the art involved in the arrangement! Lisa, you have an amazing skill. Cake making and decoration on this level is an art form. Sorry for the crash, after creating such a beauty. At least they saw it, you got a picture of it, and it tasted good. How in the world do you make all those little flowers, in those colors, look so perfect looking?????? Not to mention making the cake itself????? I burn chocolate chip cookies that come from a tube! Also, you have a weave effect on the white icing, that must have taken an age as well.
