Subject: render options

Quick query!! When setting up a render (Poserpro 2012) do you just use the render settings tab, just the scripts/partners (dimension 3d/render firefly) or mix and match both - or are there any other options?

Thanks Linda

Shaderworks has an Advanged Render Settings script but it is not free.  I tend to use this when I want to set up an number of rendering passes and compile the final image in Paint Shop Pro.

I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 -  Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB  storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU .   The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.

use d3d's script, in rare cases when certain ray-trace/IDL settings are desired.

I mix & match;  I'll start with the render settings - manual tab, save those settings and exit the render settings - manual tab.  I then run D3D's Render Firefly script.  This way, the Render Firefly script uses what I entered in the render settings tab as a starting point, and I only need to adjust a few items.

Hope no one minds a quick question of my own here...

The render button above the preview screen...does it use the most recent render settings regardless if set by the render tab or D3Ds Render Firefly script? Or is it tied to the poser render tab settings?

Thanks! :)
