Subject: Can't get Uleade Gif X 2 plugin to work any more :(

silverblade33 ( ) posted Sat, 29 September 2012 at 7:54 PM · edited Thu, 28 November 2024 at 1:29 PM

Got new PC and upgraded to CS6 Extended

so, installing ltos of plugins etc again as usual :)

snag! one of my fave plugins, Ulead GIF X 2 won't work, gah!!

(legit plugin I bought years ago)

Ulead was taken over by Corel, who seem not to have GIF X any more and their forum has no real help on this (just coupel of posts and they're no use)

Windows 7 , 64 bit

problem I get when I try to run the plugin is

"Unable to load AniGif2.dll"

i have found/downlaoded/installed that dll, to no avail, sigh

anyone able to help? :)

GIF X 2 has the BEST lightning plugin I have ever seen, shame if cna't ever use it again :(

I'd settle for a GOOD lighting plugin even if I have to spend $$$, I have KPT's complete set but not got round to instlaling it again yet (I recall it had a lightning plugin but not nearly as good as GIF X)

I just upgraded to a new dell myself and am finding with CS6/ CS2 wouldn't work, that alot of my old plugin's do not work anymore with Windowa 7 64bit. Getting expensive replacing software I enjoy using. Even my Graphic's2 tablet hasn't got new software except for an alternate program for 39 bucks. I've had to even replace Poser 5 an 6 with Poser 2010. All this sucks. Lucky and got my Cinema 4 11.0 to work even tho' most of the plugin's won't. But some of the vendors have newer version's or have redone their code to make them work for me.
