I'd be surprised if Vue 11 had a full-on particle system. It usually takes e-on three versions of Vue before an introduced feature works as expected. I'd say the snow particles are just snow particles until someone writes a python script that makes it behave as something else.
The snow could be a faked eco-stacking of some kind. Like the stackable rocks in 10.5, but much smaller and not precise. Can the fallen snow be shoveled, for instance, and placed elsewhere? Or pushed aside? Or footprints be made in it?

I wonder if they fixed the displacement mapping crash. Every time I load a terrain texture that has displacement mapping enabled, it renders the first time then crashes when I move the terrain. Happened at the office on Vista 64 and now that I transferred to home on Win7/64 same thing. i've tried all the fixes and Vue has all the crash reports.
