Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 20 7:34 am)
Quote - Since you are using morphs that are already injected why not just save a pose and include the option to save morph settings?
I think I've tried that before unsucessfully, but I'll have another go. Won't doing that mean that I can't apply the morph without resetting V4's pose, though? I really don't want that.

What about the REM file option, when using this approach Phil?
Is it possible to easily edit the pose file, with morphs saved within it, to create a reverse, REM file?
In case it helps further, here's a tutorial by Acrionx, that I had previously favourited... I haven't tried it myself yet, but it looks like it covers what you'd need to use TextEdit to make your INJ and REM manually...
Its only so much use to us mac users, as it mentions using CR2 Editor... which I believe is another PC only app.
However, you may be able to combine some of the info from that tutorial with the approach Phil has suggested I guess, even? e.g. work in TextEdit with the pose file created by saving the pose with morph settings, rather than the CR2 suggested in the tutorial I've linked to...
EDIT: Basically, I reckon you could start from step 6 of the Acrionx tutorial, once you've saved your .pz2 file with the morphs included?
Yeah, it was probably just the first one I found on Google before
I don't have Poser to hand just now, to check it at all... but at a guess I reckon you could do as Phil says, to get the INJ pz2 file, and then go from step 6, to create your REM.
There will be some fiddling with what figure parts / actors / channels are selected, when initally saving your INJ pz2 file, with morphs, I'm guessing... I think you'd use the "select subset" button there...
...maybe someone more knowledgeable than me can confirm this all! He he...
I have to admit I'm getting very confused by this morph stuff! I've just tried again and as I can't find the bit of code in my morph file that's referred to in the tutorial, I'm having a bit of trouble lol! The file is so huge that textedit freezes after a while if I try to edit it. There seem to be too many 'targetGeom's. I don't know, I probably need a utility to be able to do this. Or maybe just a computer with more RAM! (my ancient laptop is really struggling)
I'd try doing this stuff on my new iMac except I don't know if Poser will run on that operating system, whether I can even register it a 2nd time, and also the newest Mac OS doesn't seem to be geared towards coding at all. AT ALL. (Tonight I was trying to write some HTML in textedit, and wanted to test it, so I saved the file and opened it in my browser. Went to reopen the file to correct an error - my code was gone and everything was all pretty and formatted. grrrr)
I reckon Poser 7 should run on your new imac... and, someone correct me if I'm wrong please, but I think the license may well allow an install on both a laptop and a desktop belonging to you... provided you don't run both copies at once.
I don't have the Poser license to hand... but this is the case with a lot of software. Worth a read through the license perhaps... unless anyone else here knows of the top of their head???
Yeah, anyway, it does sound like the pz2 you're getting output is pretty crammed with stuff you most likely don't need in your final INJ file...
I was going to say, I think Snarlygribbly's SceneFixer will do INJ / REM creation... however, not sure if he got this Python script working on mac or not yet??
I imagine it is the file saving (file paths) that will have been one of the non-cross platform things he was trying to resolve...
Snarlygribbly's freebie scripts and utilities, including SceneFixer, are all available to download at his own site now:

Yes, that's correct. Though you can strip the rotation and translation data out of the pose using a text editor.
You can use the free py script SceneFixer to to generate INJ/REM files. As it's a py script, I assume it would also work on a Mac.
Whilst in the past I have made full body morph injections for Posette, using only a text editor, it's not something I relish doing again, and specially not for a high poly figure like V4. The main problem is the amount of scrolling you need to do in the delta sections in order to select them. A cr2 editor, eg CR2 Editor, or CR2Builder, cuts out most of the scrolling and makes the process easy (see this link), but I'm not aware of a cr2 editor that works on a Mac. Some advanced text editors have syntax folding and the ability to select all the text between braces automatically, this would make the job a lot easier, but again I'm not aware of such a thing for a Mac (though it may exist).
Try SceneFixer, but if that does not work you can make a pmd injection. Nerd3D has a tutorial "Poser 6 PMD Injection". Although it says "Poser 6" in the title, it works in all subsequent versions. Be aware that a pmd file will save all the morphs that are in the figure, irrespective of whether they are expressed or not. For that reason you should delete from the figure all morphs that you don't want to included in the injection, before you generate the pmd file.
I'll try scenefixer. I looked at the PMD tutorial last night, but it sounds like a real pain, having to delete all those morphs.I started trying to do it and then realised it was practically impossible.
the delta information is ridiculous, it goes on for like...infinity! :S It really messes up my computer, too, because while I'm scrolling and scrolling it hasn't even loaded all the code yet..

Oh yeah, anything by PhilC is worth a look at... You should visit his site and check out some of his things if your looking to extend the functionality of poser and your own content creation.

Hi everyone,
I've created some morphs for V4 in poser using the Morphs ++ and I'm trying to figure out how to save them as inj/rem files. Being a Mac user, I'm aware that utilities for making Poser content are a little limited. I did some googling, found a useful-looking tutorial and started to try it, until I realised that it relied on a software utility that's Windows-based!
I have an inkling that it might be possible to do what I want to do simply by editing the code in textedit, however, so I thought I'd ask on here and see if anyone else knows.
So yeah, I'm trying to make INJ and REM files for a V4 head morph and body morph (separately) created with morphs ++. I'd really appreciate advice on how I could do this on a Mac...
