Subject: Where are favorites located and how do you remove an item?

I know this has been addressed before, but can anyone point me to where the favorites are stored? I would like to delete some and generally see how they work. I also created some folders by accident that I'd like to remove.

In your main poser runtime (default users/public/Public Documents/Poser Pro 2012 Content). In this runtime there is a folder in runtime:libraries called Collections - that is your favorites list/folders. These are links and you can delete them here so they are removed from the favorites list

You can also delete them from within Poser.
