Subject: Is it possible to apply a partial FBM?

Is it possible to apply a partial FBM?  ...or to NOT apply a FBM to certain parts of the body? ...or to break up a FBM into part and apply the parts desired?

For example, using the V4 "Bodybuilder" FBM...is there a way to dial in only for the upper torso, or just arms, etc...?  These only show in the BODY actor.  I found reference to s SVDL script to seperate FBM into the actors, but it did not work, as far as I can tell.  No Bodybuilder morphs in the arms, etc.

FBM's should appear as standard morphs in the affected body parts. Go to those body parts and look for the FBM's name, then dial them in.  At least with our figures. Daz likes to hide stuff in their figures, so I don't know what to tell you for V4. Sorry.

Scene Fixer will show the hidden dials if they exist. Give it a shot ;). They are probably there in the relevant body parts and were hidden by Daz.

OK, found em with D3D's Unhide Dials.  That sure does not work too well, LOL!  Guess that's why they are hidden.  :)

No problem with PP2012 SR3.1

Just create and load a full body morph as you normally make and load.

Now, if that full body morph is only needed in "some" groups and completely useless in other groups?

Just go to the master FBM dial.
Click on the little arrow behind it and select delete.

A list of all groups in the figure will show up.

There you can control, "select the groups",  that can safely be deleted from this FBM dial.
All useless dials in the groups not affected by this FBM will be deleted.
And the ones you want it to maintain, stay in place.

Example:
You build a FBM that morphs the head, neck and collars.

Just build the FBM as you normally do.
Load the FBM as you normally would.
Dials are created in ALL groups, but only needed in head, neck, and collars.
Click the master dial.
Click the small triangle behind it and click delete.

A question is asked to select what dials to maintain, and what dials to delete.

After this you wil have:
The master dial
The dials in the head, neck and collars.
All other "useless" dials are gone..

Hope this helps

Cool thanks!  I think the same results will happen though...basically if you dial down a part of the FBM for one part (for example abdomen), there is a sharp edge between it and the next part (i.e. hip)

I did not think about this part of the result, until after I dialed one down, and said, "Oh yeah...I should've guessed that would happen"

When a morph is too agressive, that can happen if the part below it does not follow....
Things like that can best be looked at and checked in wireframe mode.
Then you see what happens... and what needs to be done.
