Hi, I am in need of a character that has the features of a boy that has Down Syndrome. Does anyone have any info on if there is a character on the market out d? Or I would be happy to pay someone for the character. Would need to be for K4 or one of the Mil kids.
Thanks so much!

down's syndrome.  they were called "mongoloid idiots" in the previous century, but that was offensive, hence nobody uses the latter term.  it is a mutation that occurs with greater frequency when the mother is older than 40 years, due to degradation of the telomeres.

Interestingly enough, the age of the father is also a factor.

"Since older women tend to be have children with older men, the increased incidence of this genetic abnormality in women older than 35 is likely to be the result of a combination effect of maternal and paternal age, rather than the result of maternal age only. This interaction would explain the dramatic increase in Down syndrome that is seen in women older than 35...."

Anyway, this is the only one I've seen, and it's for an adult male: M4. I'm not sure how youthful the morph could look if adjusted with some "young" morphs for M4.

This is for V4, but perhaps if mixed with V4 male morphs it could be used?

Still, I don't remember seeing any for children.

Maybe check Sharecg... or see if you can contact the creator of these freebies...

Thanks so much for the links moriador. I will check them out..maybe I can use the same dials on the K4 to get the same look. The reason I am searching for such a look is that I have been hired to illustrate a children's book for a special education teacher. She has a son that is best friends with a boy that has Down Syndrome and I am having difficulty acheiving that look for the character myself. I know there are some amazing artists who have mastered creating movie stars to the T!! So I thought maybe there may be someone who has created such a character or could do so and I would glady buy the character from them. Thanks again for your help! :)

My youngest son was born with an extra chromosome so I, too, would be very interested in finding a DS morph for K4.  Dani

Virtual Worlds has contacted me over at Daz and she said she is making one and will provide it for free ( tho I did offer to pay her for it.) She has a great morph for the V4 which moriador pointed out. You can copy the dials from that figure and apply them to the K4. I have been doing that and the K4 is looking pretty good so far..still working on it tho..You can give that a try. Hope this helps!

LOL  I went looking for it and posted my thanks, too, and asked if she needed reference photos.  I mostly render children images and I have wanted to do my son for so long.  Thanks for starting this!!!!  Dani
