Subject: Who is this character based?

Dave ( ) posted Thu, 08 November 2012 at 7:57 AM · edited Sun, 01 December 2024 at 2:34 PM

I saw this product in the marketplace.

I'm curious as to who the character is supposed to look like? I like the morph and think it's cool, but the eyebrows make it difficult for me to tell who was used as a base to model it.

D.D.Lewis?

A word is not the same with one writer as with another. One tears it from his guts. The other pulls it out of his overcoat pocket
Charles Péguy

Heat and animosity, contest and conflict, may sharpen the wits, although they rarely do;they never strengthen the understanding, clear the perspicacity, guide the judgment, or improve the heart
Walter Savage Landor

So is that TTFN or TANSTAAFL?

Is this character supposed to look like anyone in particular?

The vendors description doesn't suggest that it does. Just looks like a cross between Fu Manchu and Dolph Lundgren to me.

It's tradition to say Alan Alda...

Not every character set is a celebrity knockoff.

Quote - Not every character set is a celebrity knockoff.

But way too many of them are.

I've got this one wishlisted. I hope it doesn't turn out to be based on anyone real.

Looks a bit like Jim Caviezel to me.

I dunno, it actually DOES look kind of like Alan Alda to me?

(Alan's eyebrows are certainly not as bushy though... so I guess it's not)

I don't know if it's anyone famous or not but he reminds me of an old time movie gangster or boxer.  Wishlisting him so I don't forget to take another look when I have some extra money to spend.

I was going to say a cross between Dolph and Chis Hemsworth
