In the surface options box in poser 4 where it gives the long list of body parts to change their materials or colors it list a few of them twice-as singular and plural-like...eyebrow...eyebrows and pupil....pupils and nipple...nipples -why is that? and what is the listing that says default for?

Sometimes, as models are modified by different people, extra materials get left in the figure which no longer apply to any parts. They do nothing. This sounds like what you have encountered. If you change it and nothing happens, ignore it.

All of the ones at the top of the list are the ones that work. The rest are like Nance said, leftovers from another mesh engineer ;) -Trav
