Hi people, anybody using Poser Pro 2012 in Win 8 Pro (64bits both)? I am working in a set of shaders (PZ2 files) and got a real big crash that simple reset my machine! Yesterday I got it again and this time Windows had to correct a lot of errors to boot again after about 2 hours!!

Well that sounds like it's more a problem with your windows installation than with Poser if all these other unrelated programs are having issues. Still, if you're having problems you should contact Tech Support.  I know when I switched my desktop to Win8, I had to reinstall some of my old software (not Poser but still) to get them working. My printer/scanner combo only prints under win 8 sadly. So I feel your pain. Contact support.

Hi

I'm running Poser 9 in Windows 8 64 bit on my new computer.

I ran it in the earlier versions of W8 on my old computer too, for almost a year with no issues in fact I think it runs better then it did in W7.

I've had no crashes of freezes, which is out of character for Poser. LOL

I've run Poser since version 3 and it always froze and crashed.

I've just finished installing all of my software into my new machine and haven't had any issues with any of them.

Pretty much everything that Adobe makes, Poser, Mimic, Blacksmith 3D, other graphics software, and a lot of games and 3D stuff and everything works.

Mike

If you shoot a mime, do you need a silencer?

I can upgrade to Win 8 Pro for £14.99 till the end of Feb. So far, only one thing is holding me back.

A guy on the DAZ forum said that, after he upgraded to Win 8, he ran PP2012 and it crashed when he loaded a DSON'ed Genesis figure and went to dial a pose. What do you suppose happened there!?

If anyone has any ideas I'll gladly pass them on. If the issue gets solved and I don't hear any more tales of woe from you guys then I'll happily upgrade.

CHEERS!
