Subject: It's just too depressing

And that's a severe understatement. I was going to announce voting for this past months' Vue challenge, but I'm not up for it at the moment. My Mom and my stepfather have been in NYC for the past few days. They go there several times a year for business, and Manhatten is usually one of their targets. I had hoped to come home today to an "all's well" message from them on my answering machine, but that hasn't happened, and all attempts to find them have failed. I'm just not into Vue at the meoment, and I'm sure y'all can understand. :(

I can't ask you not to worry, but try to keep calm and be patient, Mike. The phone lines are so tied up to NY and nearby areas...

Dearest Mike, give us some information we should all try to help you find them. Try not to worry or fear....this is what those animals feed on. We are close to NYC....if we can help let us. Mike and Sharen

I live in Midtown Manhattan... If they're in a hotel or whatever, I'm happy to go there...

Give them some time. It is such a mess over there. I tried to contact friends there but it is impossible to get through. I have been sitting in front of the TV for most of the day (I live in NJ) and I still can't believe it really happened. Even if I watched the image over and over again.

Hang in there Mike. Our prayers are with you. My sister-in-law worked in one of the buildings right next door to the World Trade center, and it took her hours to get a call thru to her mom to let us know she was OK. Communications are down, so they may be unable to call, but I pray they are safe......and you will hear from them soon. Genny

Hang in there man, don't give up. Hopefully your family members are fine and just can't contact you yet. I'm sorry to hear they were there, but my hope is with you, an dI hope everything is OK. Keep us posted and let us know when you find out they are alright. Peace, kaom

Yep, I'm french, and one ocean is between us, but in this horror time, 't looks to me a river, as we, french people, are shocked from what happenend. All french prayers are for all of americans. As I'm not christian, I will not pray, but my heart and all my thoughts are with you and I really hope your parents are OK... Claude
