Hello all.

I just purchased Carrara 8 Pro today, and there doesn't seem to be a version 8 manual yet, sadly. So, I am looking for tutorials. What are some good sites and resources for learning the different aspects of this software? I'd prefer them to be free, of course, but I'm not against paying if need be.

Thanks in advance for any help or guidance you can offer.

Incidentally, I have seen various Carrara 7 and previous tutorials floating around here and there. I'm just not sure how applicable those will be to the new version, especially since they added instancing and Puppeteer to the program.

Well, the best is going to cost ya... Our Own Mark Bremmer did some wicked video training over on VTC.com  it does stop on version 7 but 99% of what ya need is the same.. the rest he's pretty good about answering here  :)

there are a few other tutorial areas,.. here and some stuff over on Daz's site. Think there are others too but can't remember where  :-  sure someone will post up

Marks are good and so are the ones by Phil on Daz's site called Learning Carrara and Advanced Carrara Techniques (I have both, for the latter do a search learning carrara on daz's sales portion).  Youtube has some like from Cripman, DimensionNT, Age of Armour, (some of Marks and Phils have some of the first sets of the lessons online for free).  Just seach carrara tutorial on youtube and that should bring lots of them up.  Carrara Lounge which morphed into Carrara Cafe and is in cooperation with Daz has some good tutorials and links to them as well.

There are more but I am having to run out the door, I hope this helps.  Also a majority of the older docs are still applicable!

Theres also a lot fo free video at Youtube that can help you. In CarraraCafe.com we have a list with almost all of them.

The C6 quick start is not bad to start with.

Carraracafe.com has a lot of free tutorials too.
