Subject: Violin

I'm looking for a nice quality violin. The closest thing I've found is TruForm's instruments set, and I usually really like his work, but to be honest, other than the piano, the promo renders don't impress me as much as his architectural stuff. It doesn't even look like the violin comes with a bow.

But it still looks better than the one or two other Poser violins I've found.

I suppose I could go outside the Poser realm and find a 3D model from one of the cheaper TurboSquid clone sites, but I'd really prefer something Poser-ready.

Anyone here aware of a nice realistic violin & bow?

I have the Daz one and one by 3DRoad, both of which are no longer available - sorry.

Thanks, Ashley... I guess there's not much demand in Poser, although there are some pretty nice violins available from non-Poser 3D sites. Might have to bite the bullet on going that route.

Truform has musical instruments in a package here at rendo which includes a violin.

Yes, I mentioned it in the post that started the thread. :)

how quickly would you need it because i have a violin and bow that i made a while back that isnt ready for poser but could be mapped and exported easily

it has full detail with a relatively low poly count and only a few material zones applied

it does have a chin rest as well but no case

I am not sure if it is the same set  that you mentioned, I guess it must be as the names are so similar but just in case, but I have the Musical insturment set from Trustyles and the violin does come with a bow.

I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 -  Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB  storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU .   The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.

Looking again at the promo I see the set is marked as being Trustyles and it is created by Truform, apologies for my confusion.

As I said there is a bow with the violin, in the prompo picture it is lead against the piano just behind the violin itself.  I did use this recently in one of my renders but I did have to tweak the texture before I was happy with it.

How about violinist poses? We could use some of those for band pictures.

If anyone went to the link above without virus and malware protection, you've may have been infected with a URL:Mal trojan/virus (Avast caught it on my machine, I am running scans to totaly get rid of any trace of it.)

OTL by Oldtimer can get rid of it, if you did get infected with it.
