Hi...

Please excuse my syntax because I am deaf.  I speak American Sign Language.  It's not exactly like English.  Hope you can understand me.

Okay... I bought Micaheal 5 for POSER 9 three weeks ago.  I found out that I must locate GENESIS in same file of Michael 5.  I tried to locate it but it won't work.  I don't know how to locate it in right file.  I use iMAC OX S Snow Leopard.  POSER 9.

What do I do with Michael 5 and GENESIS.  I have put Michael 5, but I don't know where I can locate GENESIS in the same file of Michael 5.

Please send me instructation and show me how to step by step to locate it in the same file.

Help me.

Joey Johnson

Micheal 5 is a morph of Genesis.  Technically it is not a Poser figure, to use it in Poser 9 you must have the DSON Importer add on ( a product at the Daz Store).  You would install the DSON importer add on to your main Poser runtime.  That product will include the Genesis starter essentials which you may install anywhere as long as you map the folder location in Poser.  Once you have installed the DSON importer add on and the starter essentials you just need to make sure that you install Michael 5 to the same folder as the Starter essentials and you should be good to go.

Michael 5 and Genesis, on their own, do not work in Poser.  Only by using DAZ's DSON Exporter can you achieve some functionality.  The link below will shed some light on the pros and cons:

I am assuming you have the DSON importer for Poser. You need to install that to your main Poser directory. With the importer you also get Genesis Starter Essentials. This should be installed in a runtime (not your main Poser directory). I created a new runtime for the Genesis Starter Essentials. You then need to link your library to that runtime. Install the Michael 5 package to the same runtime.

Now browse to that runtime -> Characters -> Daz People -> Michael 5 and double click on the Michael 5 icon. After a few seconds Michael 5 should load for you. Michael 5 is a morph of Genesis.

I hope I have understood correctly and that this helps.
