Subject: Helpful advice needed..Lightroom 4.

I realize this is the Photoshop Forum but found no more relevant forum to pose this question.  I recently got a new PC and in loading my software Photoshop(x86) installed along with the 64 bit version.  With Lightroom, I needed to load my previous 3xxx version then the newer upgrade to Lightroom 4.  I see why the Photoshop(x86) is there but is there any need to keep the previous version of Lightroom? I mean, is there any dependency of the newer version on the older installation?

Thanks for addressing a non-Photoshop question.  Believe me, Photoshop gets a workout here almost every day.

Thanks, God Bless.  Thomas (tomdart)

Hey Tom,

You really didn’t even need to install LR3 as all that is required is the LR3 serial number when installing LR4.

So no problem taking LR3 off your box.

Thanks, Chuck.  I thought as much since upgrades always have seemed to be complete programs.  With a lot of my budding business hanging on this computer I did not want to make any sort of mistake.  Thanks so much.
