On topic: Perhaps the comment of the gentleman is not aimed at you, but at the person you choose to model, see the link above from wikipedia.

I wouldn't worry too much about the subject matter in any event, Hollywood would have been pretty short of film subjects if it weren't for the bad boys in History......nice modelling btw

Exactly what I rekon. The gentleman was not commenting on your work but expressing a (justified) political view.

why not sending him a site mail?

When one thinks the artist is shit, then why comment?

When one thinks the quality is shit, then why comment?

When he thinks your modeled object is shit, then at least you did the modeling quite well.

On the other hand, the guy in question never uploaded any images, and does not have friends at rendo. So...

As several people have pointed out, what you did was model one of the most heinous mass murderers of the 20th century.  When someone is responsible for tens of millions of innocent deaths, you can expect some negative feedback.

BTW, when you went from a comment on work to directing it at the individual you violated the TOS.  This is what is known as a personal attack.

He phrased it as a question, so the poster has an opportunity to say, "No, I meant Mao..."

 

PS what version of Poser are you running under OS/2, Klebnor?  😉  I miss OS/2...

In my opinion he was likely referring to the subject of your work rather than your work itself. If you would like the comment removed please IM me and I'll take care of it.  Since the possibility exists to assign assumptions to a member without facts I'm going to head off any potential TOS violations and suggest a different thread related to the actual modeling work and not the comment.
