Subject: SmithMicro Ordering and Shipping Problems in 2013

As of December 31st 2012 I thought it be cool to upgrade from Poser4 to Poser9 So on New Years eve I placed an Order for Poser9. SM starting off the New year with end of fiscal 2012 Inventory No orders can be shipped till It and the account dpt computer update was completed. On January 11th they shipped My Order It arrived Today Poser8 Huh, Yeah Poser8 So I contacted smithmicro where;s My poser9 OOPs So not there new shipping accounting software has a Bug and there shipping me Poser9 Overnight which remains to be seen. As a small time graphics guy this sets some of My work back because I was counting on Poser9 to finish a few things.

Anyone else Have this much trouble with smithmicro ? I sure have

I always buy the electronic version and back it up to DVD-Rs.  I've always gotten the right product that way...

He's only had three posts in eleven years, so I don't think he's a chronic complainer, Laurie... 😄

i bought the retail box of pp12 when it came out.  didn't have a problem.

there was some creativity then, you had to pre-order so the sales would show in the third quarter? and there was a time frame restriction to use the pre-order coupon?

but, that was before the new store s/w. spring? fast? can't remember.

i'm tantalized by the PP10 on amazon.com for $80.  64-bit rendering with the poser7 gui and library. silly to wantz?  pp10 = no sss or wm.

Yeah, I think you'd find PP2010 wanting in comparrison to what you have now. LOL

PP2010 uses the Poser 8 GUI and library, Lara.    You are thinking of the original Poser Pro, which doesn't have IDL...
