Subject: Does anyone know where I can find some free good quality poser furniture?

bigglobe ( ) posted Wed, 30 January 2013 at 6:15 PM · edited Tue, 19 November 2024 at 2:53 PM

I am looking for furniture like beds, couches, chairs, and tables. I found some at renderosity but I'm looking for a greater variety of furniture.

They are predominately for other programs but they can be imported into Poser for use.

Quite a few of these "free" models look like content that I have purchased on the open market.  There is no source or origin given.

This website is headquartered in Uzbekistan.  I would be very careful before using any of this content

If you are up to minor OBJ importing, try Sweet Home 3D.  Free software to make rooms filled with pre-made furniture.  Furniture libraries available. Export as OBJ, import to Poser.

Hmm.  Pops up in less than seconds here.  Try google, ness period reproductions poser, see if you  get there that way.  NIce stuff, and a lot of it.

This is a compilation on Daz of links to sites with freebies.  It may take some searching through but you may find what you're looking for.

I use turbosquid for stuff like this.  Alot of people overlook turbosquid due to the idiotic prices of the products there. but it also has a huge free library.  just search the marketplace and order by lowest price first. all the freebies willshow up.

If your comfortable with their search page, limit the results to those that have items in the following formats :

Now that's weird! I just tried Ness again, and got the same thing, denied access.  I dunno now.

Just cut and paste the ness production link and it worked.  Maybe they are having a little problem with their server.  But I do agree, they have some very nice stuff.

PrecisionXXX ( ) posted Wed, 30 January 2013 at 10:57 PM

Been a long time since I downloaded, but I seem to recall having a bit of a problem getting there.  Don't know how I got around it, but I downloaded a load of his stuff, and it's great.  Glad you got it to work.

Just went back and looked at the home page, going through google to get there.  He doesn't allow links, so cut and past the url should work.  Just as long as it's not linked through some other site.  Sorry, my bad.

Guess you already found the furniture in the content that comes with Poser?

Turbosquid has absolutely fantastic products for all your needs. The only problem being they are way beyond the reach of most mortal men (and women). I'm like a salivating dog looking through the butcher's shop window when I visit, but know those delicious sausages and prime steaks are only for other people to taste.
