Attached Link: Low Poly People for Poser / Daz made in Carrara.

Hi. I've spent the last 10 days morning to night cracking this and I wish to share my joy :-D

Part 1 of how to make low poly people.

Here I am showing how I’m going about it, with the gist of what to do, but I’ll come back in the future (when I’ve created 40 cyberpunks) to show how it helps in a massively populated scene.

Till then, here is a taster…

Hope to see the video showing how you reduce the polygons and got it to texture and work with BVH

I will do.

For now try Atangeo Reducer and BVH via DAZ (aniblocks).

I have 40 cyberpunks to make next, then I can prove the power of this solution.

Great work Steve!  Also can't wait to see the "making of".

Thanks Animajik.

I tell you, when I (finally) get to finish episode 7 (don't forget now 2 years in the planning / making if you include 5 & 6 which are just pre-cursors to the main event), I'll have so many tutorials to do it will be a flood!!

Wow! This is amazing. I am so much looking forward to the detailed explanation of this method! Fantastic job! This would be super helpful to any animation in Carrara. I'm guessing this could be applied to any moving characters, not just people, correct? (Animals, birds, robots, etc...)

Yes. It can be applied to any CR2 file.

I only have a need to produce a crowd of cyberpunk people, but the process involves stripping everything down to a bare obj file and using a skeleton from an existing character (michael 3 is great).

I also have some DAZ animals and I'd like to do one of those crow scenes. You know where they all fly about over some misty graveyard scene.

Please be patient with me. I have to create my 50 cyberpunks first (well 40 + 10 "suits"), show the scene (which proves the method "en mass"), and then I'll explain in detail.
