Subject: Looking for Supermarket Models

jy76tn ( ) posted Wed, 06 February 2013 at 6:58 PM · edited Mon, 23 December 2024 at 12:06 AM

Something realistic like the interior (and also maybe exterior) of a Wal-Mart, Target or Ingles etc...  Something model that looks realisitic not like the one on here for "Street Life" which is a cool model, but looks like Beverly Hills or Amsterdam, not the look I need.

Anything free or paid anywhere?

grichter ( ) posted Wed, 06 February 2013 at 10:39 PM

Something that is needed and would buy in a heart beat myself

here are a couple of store fronts, but not supermarkets. But you could use some of the items inside another interior.

I didn't verify my links

There was a freebie supermarket offered years ago. It was more a small mom & pop store but had racks, food packages etc. I can't find it in my backups at the moment. Maybe someone will remember it if the site is still up.

I've had this for a long time. It came with no readme file, only Libraries and Texture folders, so I have no idea where I got it. The pic might jog someone's memory.

One one of the textures I found the name "Dreamreaper", see above. Tried Google, no luck.

There's a Dreamreaper at Artraiders, but they only have a stool there...

I found this zip in my download folder.  I'm in the middle of a computer upgrade so Poser isn't installed right now, but here's a screencap of the thumbnails in P3dO.    It appears to be a freebie download.

File Name;  Supermarket Freebie Market_Final.zip   FileSize about 25 Meg - download zip dated 11/08/2009

The readme file includes this passage (I tried the website listed, but I got a "Can't load page" error in ie and FireFox).    . . . From ReadMe file;

Supermarket Low-Res
for Poser4, PoserPP, Poser5, Poser6 or Poser7

Thank you for downloading this item.

A high resolution version may be available through our store at

Here's where thay came from via the Wayback machine (download links are dead, tho')...

I believe they sold as Darkangle here

I don't have the supermarket, but do have a couple of the other freebies, and the readme of course says no sharing...

Did a google search on luckydragonsden thinking I could find a newer site. No such luck.

Only one that shows up is http://luckydragonsden.deviantart.com/

Not sure if same person.

any luck finding this prop online? i'd like to play around with it.

lmckenzie ( ) posted Thu, 14 February 2013 at 11:27 PM

I thought I had the supermarket but apparently not. I have the courtroom and some others in my database, but the files are on another system so I can't check the docs. Unless I'm misreading what leather-guy posted, he or anyone who has the supermarket (with that readme) is free to share it.

DarthJ ( ) posted Fri, 15 February 2013 at 8:57 AM

I have that supermarket (though it looks more as one of those large stores selling only frozen food) and dating from 2007 it could use a texture update.

Re-uploading would be no problem (with due credits of course) but then we would have to be sure if sharing the files is allowed or not.

According to the readme Leather-guy posted, the version he has does specifically allow sharing of the entire archive.

this file or any altered part of this file can be used or claimed as your own
to share, use or sell."
