i want to shatter a figure. i am not concerned so much with the physics of the pieces falling. but the shattering figure for animation purposes from a still pose.

i tried python script that was out but they mention to the uv mapping to create the desired effect but i was under the impression that applied to textures.

any suggestions?

i am using poserpro2010

thanx in advance

The only shatter/explode plugin I'm aware of is PhilCs Exploder, which I just bought today but haven't tried yet.  Is that the one you've looked at already?

Ockham has a free exploder script, but I've never tried it...

i've used ockhams a couple of times, these sort of scripts really work best with props or figures that have quite a high mesh resolution, one solution I found was to add a displacement map to the material setting, it can help with making the explosion more believable
