Great tutorial willyb53! You gave some excellent tips on using it (shadows!) I had all but forgotten about IC3 having moved on to their Terradome.
i7 6800 (6 core/12 thread), 24 GB RAM, 1 gtx 1080 ti (8GB Vram) + 1 Titan X (12GB Vram), PP11, Octane/Poser plugin, and a partridge in a pear tree.
Oh, and a wiener dog!
Thank you. I also have Terradome, but for some scenes it it not the best/easyest way to get the job done. I needed a wooded hillside recently and could not get what I wanted without either long rendertimes or not realistic results. I saw one of HoboBo's backgrounds for IC3 that was exactly what I needed, so I dusted off IC3 and worked out the procedure. The render in the first post uses the background I needed. I can not imagine getting a forest like that in Terradome.

Yep I agree...completely different environs between the two. Got alot of paks that go with IC3 that are just sitting there so it's time to start playing with them again as well! Thanks again for the tips!

Excellent, I loved the way you handles the shadows, that's info! I like IC3, used for quite some scenes. The only limitiation is the size of some of the textures included, too small. Great for web scene, less good when you want to use it for print.
Artwork and 3DToons items, create the perfect place for you toon and other figures!

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(
Food for thought.....
