Subject: Forced to Use Paypal even though I entered CC information?

mamba-negra ( ) posted Thu, 21 February 2013 at 8:41 PM · edited Sun, 26 January 2025 at 7:22 AM

I selected Visa and entered my usual information, but I now have to go through paypal?

I agree with a previous poster, it looks like you hired some of DAZ' programmers...

Is there any way to know for sure my CC charge didn't go through? I hate using paypal, and I don't think I deleted it, though I have been meaning to since I never use it, so I can probably pay through it....

Yep Same thing just happened here. I entered my CC info like I always do and now I got the email that my order was placed but it is showing unpaid and that my payment method is Pay Pal?? I didnt choose pay pal..I chose pay via credit card. What is going on??

I went ahead and paid via the paypal link this time, but I seriously hope this doesn't happen again because I really don't like feeding paypal my CC information.

I am afraid to do that because if I do what if the CC info goes thru and I pay for it 2 times. If it was a small amount I wouldnt worry so much but for larger amounts I am rather leary. I HATE these problems like this! It is almost as bad as DAZ now!!

Hey,

I had our programmer take a look into this for us and it looks as if there aren't any issues.

Please make sure that the PayPal button isn't being hit after you input your credit card information.:)

Thank you

Amanda

I can assure you I didn't click PayPal. It could be that I didn't explicitly click Visa (though, the default is AM Ex, which I would have noticed, and if I hadn't changed it, it should have complained about the card number). Or I hit the "Enter" key instead of clicked a button. Considering Paypal requires a click, I'd say there is no real chance I did that by accident.

I agree mamba. You have to hit the pay pal button for payment which then takes you to Pay Pal to complete the payment. I am pretty sure I  did not hit Pay Pal either because I was focused on using Credit Card...I have done this many times and pretty sure I knew what I was doing.

Please let us know if this happens again.  The programmers did check it out and we went through the process ourselves several times with no issues so not sure what might have happened but if this occurs again, contact us and we will research further

Thank you

Yeah, the same blasted thing happened to me too.

I've gotten to the point where I'm just racing through the payment scenes--I can almost do it blindfolded--that the paypal option took me by surprise; I just mouse clicked my way past it, and thought, oh crap.

I have a Paypal account, but to add insult to injury, I have to wait 24 hours for my downloads to activate . . .

Maybe this'll teach me to slow down . . .
