Subject: atmosphere black

Javil ( ) posted Sat, 23 February 2013 at 8:13 AM ยท edited Wed, 25 December 2024 at 1:53 AM

I have a problem with making a scene.

If I repeat these steps I always get the same error in the atmosphere.

  1. Create procedural terrain from presets 'Natural'.
  2. Yes or no at the ground plane removal.
  3. Edit the terrain.
  4. Make it standard.
  5. Edit with picture.
  6. Blend or whatever. Ok.

Now the atmosphere is completely black and overlighted!
Can anyone confirm this issue?
It happends with my Vue 7 Infinite, and with the 10.5 PLE.

Thx, Javil

I can't confirm those steps, but I have had occasional problems on Vue 10 Studio where renders come out completely black. Normally if I save the scene, close Vue and then reopen it will work properly. I have no idea what causes this problem.

try raising the atmosphere altitude.

Make sure your camera didn't drop below the ground.

Check if "Autoexposure" is turned on in the Post-render options, and if so, turn it off. That's often the culprit with black renders. Keep it turned off, btw. - I never use it :)
