Hello everyone

I have the sad news to announce that one of the kindest, most polite and positive person on our forums mathman will no longer be with us

"Andrew J Fortune lost his fight with illness and passed away peacefully on February 19th.
He asked me to share with his friends how deeply and sincerely he treasured everyone's prayers and best wishes."

This was posted on his facebook accound today

I am sure he has many friends here also, he has honnored me with his frienship for sure, so I wanted to share this with everyone

Nothing else to say, sorry I'm not good at this

I was just reading some forum threads in which mathman had participated. Never expected his departure.

News like this certainly shocks the reality back into us.  My condolences to all his close friends and family.  He will be missed.

OMG! I can't believe it!  I really liked him. He was always so friendly and happy.  He will most definitely be missed.

In a previous incarnation I spoke to Mathman quite a few times, he was always helpful and dogged in his determination to get his point across. As a fellow dog lover I am going to miss him and send his family my deepest condolences, and hope they can take some solace from the fact that even people who didn't know him personally will miss him.

May the 3d gods smile down on him.

No!  I am shocked. I had no idea he was unwell.  He was a really nice guy.  so helpful.

@ pitklad - if it's not too intrusive, could we prevail upon you to pass our thoughts and condolences to Mathman's family?

A small consolation, I know, but at least it may help to show how much he was liked and how much he will be missed.
