Subject: how to save character face morphs in Poser 7

mystmaiden ( ) posted Sat, 23 February 2013 at 12:08 AM · edited Wed, 25 December 2024 at 9:54 AM

I made a character whose face I really like but the rest is pretty mediocre. What do I need to save the head morphs?

Thanks,

mystmaiden

If everything is done with dial spinning simply save the face to the face folder.

lol@self - It occurs to me I've never actually opened the face room tab. I'm going to have to figure this out. Do you folks use it much?

Very usefull for Posers native figures.

Does NOT work on DAZ figures.

Poser 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, P8 and PPro2010, P9 and PP2012, P10 and PP2014 Game Dev

The face room is a different thing from the folder that you would save expressions or face morphs.  As mentioned above, face room is not for non-Poser figures.

The folder under "expressions" will save a .fc2 file for what you need

Thanks for letting me know. I've never actually used any of the Poser figures only Daz.

The only figures which have the necessary facial data for the face room would be the legacy models included in Poser as well as the G2 models found @ ContentParadise.  The site has downloadable Faceroom modules available but you must have those G2 models installed first.

I could be wrong, but I don't think you need to go into the face room for this. If this is V4 or M4 I usually just save it as a pose if it is a dial morph. I  have linked to a step=by=step of what I do. It may or may not be what you are looking for.
