Subject: Seeking FN P90 assault gun/rifle

MartinW ( ) posted Thu, 28 February 2013 at 7:58 AM · edited Mon, 10 February 2025 at 9:33 AM

Does anyone know of either a Poser Prop or a wavefront OBJ for this kind of gun?

I'm looking to use one in some pics, but can't find one...and the one that used to be in the MarketPlace here is no longer available?

TIA for all suggestions.

Awesome site - thanks.

Now if only I could remember the French hosted site with all the cool cars and other vehicles...

Also, I saw that old Rendo P90...it is --WarTech--, which I believe is the FoRender guys.  Ask them, and they probably have that texture as well.  I got a few things from them (like the HK MP5), and --Wartech-- is in the Readme, and is the name of some of the folders.

NOTE: The only downside (or upside) is that the guns come in as parts.  So for example, a pistol may come in as 10 props, so if you have 2 of them, there is 20 props, all parented together I guess.  Makes for a messy poser drop-down.

...but the stuff looks great!

I've knew I'd seen a Poser version somewhere, found it, it's part of a bundle......

or same pack at their own website......

I've always found this an odd gun, still looks like some kind of scifi weapon.

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Food for thought.....

The P90 was developed as a compact weapon for vehicle crew

 Funny you should mention that.

If you knew who had the rights to that show in your country, you could probably stream it from there, unfortunately, I have no idea who that is.  You can try www.funimation.com they got the rights around the time ADV was going bye-bye.  I really like the show though and recommend everyone buying a copy.  It's very campy fun.

Thanks for the new link..... same problem. Don't worry about it though, it happens very often, a lot of US and other countries as well do this.

I must admit I laughed when I first saw this thing, but it looks like a very clever bit of design. Real 'thinking outside the box' stuff. The ammunition feed is particularly trippy. And lefties can shoot it, which good if you're a lefty.

"...and a small vertical protrusion is provided at the front end of the weapon's frame to prevent the shooter's hand from accidentally slipping in front of the muzzle while shooting."

Did they add that before or after one of the testers lost some fingers, I wonder?
