Heads UP
I just finally bought P9 ... with the very good discount now offered by SM ... but was a bit surprised the download had not been updated to the newest SR.

I wasn't sure, but saw version 9.0.0.16 or some such, then went to SM site and found SR3 ... 9.03....

there is a content updater as well as a reference manual.

so.. no change.. they never update the main download.... (always had to apply the patches after buying...poser 5,6,7 where all the same..)

Check the Smith Micro website.  The most current updates and the .pdf for the manuals should be there.

new purchasers may not be aware of such historical significance. Even I, who has had Poser since V1 did not realize that they never update the downloads ... how lazy can it be?

put it this way. Microsoft don't update Windows main installers. you buy say XP, Vista or 7, and it's the first release. you then have to apply the service releases and patches.

you think lazy. but if you take a second look... it's the simplest method. you don't get confusion about what version you are using to install. everyone starts off with the same version. then, brought upto date via patches. simplest for support and logistics.

Plus, you only need to update to the latest SR, none of the older versions.

The first rule of getting Poser, get the latest SR, hasbeen for as long as I've had Poser.
