Thanks. We are getting there. It will feel almost unreal the day Episode 7 is live. (Probably still not until the end of the year for that one), but "Cyberpunk People" doesn't need too much more before I can get animating!

My background is in computer programming, just as in that environment someone more knowledgable can look at a noob's efforts and see it straight away. Those early episodes make me cringe now. lol.
Still lots more to learn. I guess (hope) at somepoint the major lessons are learn't and it becomes more about refinement.
I still think lighting is the biggest topic of all, and I learn in small chunks for encouragement.

It's a pretty middle of the road i7 based PC with average graphics card etc. The only thing I've really gone "above average" on (although even that is debatable) are the hard drives - 3 of them 2 of which are Sold state drives (the biggest one is 256mb).
If you follow my tutorials on youtube, you'll see (with compromises) how to squeeze lots more into a scene by reducing poly count and texture files and shaders. That's what makes these scenes possible, not so much the machine.
It really shows that a "1 man shop" like you (and myself) can pull these things off using available software and hardware to do what some of the big boys use to accomplish animation. My MacPro is rendering almost non-stop on my latest project to get it done in time for the deadline!
It's all the little tricks and shortcuts (and sometimes cheats!) that make producing what we love, possible.

Excuse me for more question but 32 or 64 bit operating system and Carrara you use?

You'll find for anything complex the rendering times HALF! I run 64-bit which helps a bit (not so much with speed, more with larger scene file capacity).
There are still bugs and errors, but if you save your scene file regularly it's not too much of a problem.
