I think it is a known issue that multiple select isn't possible in the hierarchy editor.
As I understand it, this is because of the way the current UI interacts with the scene actors.
SnarlyGribbly's Scenefixer, or a similar script, is the answer...
...I like WillyB's suggestion above... will try that one myself next time I have need to.

Try D3D's funky free multiple delete script.Quote - > Quote - > Quote - One by one.
THIS IS SO PRO.
I asked the same question a while ago, and found various free and simple solutions in a few minutes without the need to create any thread , I think in some cases the problem is not the software....
The point is simple. This software has been out for SOOOO LONG and it's missing a super simple feature. If they didn't call the software "PRO", I would have no problem with the feature not being there. But smith micro has the audacity to call it pro, that is what bothers me.
I think the "pro" business is because this version can interface with various high end "pro" apps, like Maya, Max, Lightwave and Cinema4D.
Strangely enough, Poser, whilst having a number of weaknesses, also has a number of strengths compared to said programs.
I, for example, am having excellent fun combining Poser with C4D, they compliment each other brilliantly. To do what I want to do, this seems to be to me (admittedly rather a beginner), the only way to go.
This may sound surprising, but I have often heard that in the high level "pro" world, users tend to combine apps to get things done.
So whilst I (occaisonally) understand your frustration, I think the "pro" tag is justifiable, as you can use Poser's highlights in the professional world.

Yes , the truth is that it is a sin inexcusable,¿ as may have the audacity to call it pro? , should be punished by sending them to the electric chair for that, I honestly do not know how this people can continue to live among decent people like us
fortunately there are always people like you who complain about everything, the folder you created on the "conspiracy" to not learn how to use IDL was one of the funniest things I read in this last time, thanks you for making me laugh so hard...
I am looking forward to reading your next complaint
I have Shaderworks Figure Manager and have the window open all the time which gives the standard Windows way of selecting and deselecting multiple objects and figures using the Shift and Control Keys. Along with Camera Panel Plus, Render and Light Dots from Netherworks it's an extra add-on I would not be without as it makes Poser so much easier to use.
I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 - Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU . The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.
