The free Xfrog plants that are available on their site as samples are pretty good. Limited selection, but each pack has three plant variations. They are available in .vob format: http://xfrog.com/category/samples.html
For Vue native plants, I can recommend The "Incredibly Lush" series plants (C3D), the plant packs from Realms Art (also C3D) as well as the plants from AsileFX.

Or you might try these, as well.....

For most of these, I posted close-up views of the leaves, so that you can judge for yourself without first having to purchase the trees. There are others in this series of poseable trees, but these references should be enough for you to determine if they will suit you.
Do you have a render of the leaves you can show? Sometimes there's a setting to fix that.

What are some good trees for closeups in the foreground? I tried the ones that come with Vue 11, and the leaves are pixelated. THank you, Sherrie
