I've been looking at two software packages which I'm interested in for taking my Carrara animations to Video CD format. I need a software package that will take an AVI, create the proper file format, allow me to add an audio track, and then burn it to CD. Dazzle Main Actor appears to be able to create the file I need but not burn the file. I can probably get something that could burn the file to CD through Shareware. Movie Works Deluxe is another possibility. And Video Studio is another candidate. Does anybody have experience with these packages or others that may be useful. I'm a Windows user. Thanks, -Kix

go check out nero from www.ahead.de this is the coolest copy program ever...not only does it defeat pretty much any copyprotection but it will encode almost any .avi/.qt to vcd or svcd format. Also they say that they will have a mpeg2 plug-in available soon. I have been using this program for over a year now and I love it.

Check out the link below: www.vcdhelp.com It has a ton of information about burning to VCD and links to freeware solutions. I've just started exploring this stuff, so I'll keep watching for any other info and will share it with you when I get the chance. - Dex
