Subject: Render settings

Renderholic ( ) posted Fri, 29 March 2013 at 2:37 PM · edited Wed, 08 January 2025 at 1:38 PM

I have seen tutorials in the past on suggested render settings, but nothing since about Vue 7.  I have tried using some of these suggested settings and renders take many hours to complete. I would like to hear from some of you Vue veterans as to your final render settings. For instance, do you use custom settings or one of the standard settings like Ulitmate or Broadcast quality?  Also what dpi setting do you suggest? Any advice appreciated.

Thanks! One question. Is there a reason why you don't use depth of field?

probably because it's faster to do it in post using the zdepth map

I do once in awhile.  But not for every render.  If I do use it though, I use the Fast Hybrid 2.5D with 6 passes.
