Hello;

I would like to know why i get this glow of light whenever i render my characters on the floor...

For this render i used one IBL light and one specular light...and my character is lying on the floor made of the square high resolution of the Poser primitives.

Tips & Hints are welcome.

Thanks for viewing.

My guess is that the skin or the floor is checked as an emitter...or something like that?

There are several issues that can cause that and they all have been covered through numerous threads in the forum.

First I would check if the PoserSurface in the MatRooom has an active ambient channel, skin textures plugged into the Ambient_color with it's value set to one, or a very dark red color chip on same with it's value set to one.

Second, your min shadow bias on your light might be higher than 0.1; another place to check.

Since you did not mention IDL in the render, I would rule out light emitter because it is a feature considered by IDL rendering.  However, it may not hurt turning that off as a third option.

I am not going to bother mentioning the fourth since it is an IDL issue and, again, the OP did not mention IDL render.

It clearly is IDL, though.

Diffuse reflections are too strong. You're getting feedback amplification.

Reduce IDL intensity.

Make sure your Diffuse_Value is .8 or less.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

That was the fourth option, BB.

it appears OP has bad AO settings (blotches between toes, black blotches under heels on floor) and bad IDL settings (between toes, light multiplication under heels).  we can provide correct settings, but first one would ask OP where he got "zeus" avatar.

I dunno what the Zeus avatar has to do with the price of tea, but maybe that's just me. LOL

I think BB has your solution. SOMEWHERE, you have IDL turned on.
