I use it for archaeological visualisation. So reconstructing past landscapes and the such. Great job and wouldnt change it for a thing.
I have also used it for architectural visualisation and for a lot of fun and killing free time.

I'm using it for illustrations, only been using for 4 months now. I used Vue 6 a little years ago, but never seriously. I'm writing poems and stories and I'm using Vue to illustrate them. My wife and I also want to work on greeting cards and posters, Vue will be used for those as well. I'm even contemplating using Vue for my comics, I've used Poser for at least 5 years for my comics, but perhaps Vue will take it's place.
By the way, I've found your tutorials from C3D very helpful in learning Vue, great job on those, they really show how to get the best out of Vue.

Quote - I use it for my cards and posters. I would love to make images like DOM1, but I am not even close yet.
I wish I could make images like his as well, they're so awesome for cards and posters, I wish he would do some tutorials on how he gets the look his images do have.

Vue's my end stage renderer for my animation pipeline. I may be adding Octane in there, and splitting the tasks leaving Vue more for outdoor and panoramic renders, and interior work with Poser. But that will depend on getting quality and lighting to match up for the scenes where you go from one to the other.

For the past year I have used Vue to create mainly urban decay scenes. Last summer I started adding people. I use Vue for my "rough" work. It is my first step. I know how I will finish it off in Photoshop and with specific filters. I use it as my art medium. This one is called a Study in Blue. Not all feature people. This Vue scene, I did to kill free time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10y9Y0sWQV8

Scarily enough, recently I've been using it for fMRI data visualization (functional magnetic resonance imaging of the brain) and experimental setup images for scientific journal publications and conference posters.
