She would have sworn that her new swimsuit had a full coverage back, but with a turn of the dial it switched to a thong back! Another example of what I'll be doing with switching geometry, in addition to mermaid tails, that is. Ther mind sort of boggles, as you can switch in all kinds of options, I've got a dress that swiches to another collar style, it should have 3 or 4 styles eventually. One thing I'm unsure about is having morphs in the switching parts, at one stage I had them in the mermaid tail, but I'm unsure exactly how Poser is going to treat them in all cases. Anyway, also notice her posh new shoes!

Here is a closeup of her new slingbacks. I've been accused of doing what we now call retro shoes too much, but this style is fairly current - those are called "needle" heels. Of course the prototype had a lower heel, SMV doesn't care to wear flats though, so these go from 6" down to about 4". She is going to have back problems when she gets older, though. Anyway, notice the separate material on the insides of the straps, I thought that was neat. You would not belive how hard it is to get those straps to go through those rings and fit the shoe and SMV's feet all at the same time!

incredible work on those shoes !!! they look absolut REAL... WOW : )

Nice shoes! Jim, morphs for geom switching should follow the same behavior as hip morphs for a male figure do with the "genital" switch turned on and off. You have to have a separate morph for each hip version, and load them in with poser "load morph" rather than with morph manager. Then it ought to work properly. MaryCanary

Hi MaryCanary!- I'll have to look at that, when I tred it I had a morph in the base tail, but none in the others, after you turned that dial back and forth a couple of times the "incorrect" dial would disapear, I noticed.

heyas; jim... let's see if i remember about the switching geom and the morphs... you can dial in your geom, load/spawn your morph, and poser will remember which morph goes with which version. it will also display the correct morphs ONLY if you do one of the following: 1: double click the geom switcher dial and type in the number selection you want. 2: after you turn the dial and select the geometry you want, you select another part, then re-select your current part. this is a standard glitch (so anton told me), so there's no fixing it. just put that in the instructions, so people know how to get the morphs. oh, and make sure you give the different geometries different morph names. like if all the shoes have a 'lower heel' morph, then name them 'lower heel1,' 'lower heel2,' etc. i didnt do that with mine, and i had a terrible time with telescoping morphs. ;)

I think you are correct, that is exactly how it seemed to work, now that you mention it. To tell the truth, I was suprized it works as good as it does. You also have to be carefull with the geometry too, to keep the seams right you have to load all of the parts into Max and attach them to each other if you move a edge vertice on any of them, I found that out real quick!

Don't listen to rumors Jim! She won't have back problems later on.. oh well, I did in the past myself.. but I'm still wearing them on certain occassions! VL grin Those shoes are fabulous as your previous pairs and NO..anything but retro stye.. dress up stoes must always be classy! :o) BTW.. I think the word we use around here about those heels is sounding much better than "needle"...we call them "stilleto" shoes! :o) Rena

Thanks guys and gals! Further down the road there might be a Vickie version, but for now the only way she will be able to get them on will be by way of the Supermodel Morph Vicki character, as that gives her high-heel feet. I tried coming up with a shoe CR2 to do it, but I couldn't get to to work very well, Vickie has flat feet, SMV and SMMV have feet like Barbie, they only wear heels!
